A full-day trip, which does not include much physical activity walking, makes you return tired mainly from sitting time and in traffic. Ronny’s storytelling was very enjoyable, full of stories, data and is also very skilled in not making it tedious, as he does not recite it by heart, but mixes it with the questions of the passengers and enriches it with anecdotes of each one. Bring money - coins - for the toilets. There are several stops and in the first (charra shop) you have to be quick to choose and pay, so as not to stop the trip and others. In Chapala and Ajijic there is enough time to relax, walk and get to know each other. The food near Ajijic is in a pre-defined restaurant, which is fine because there is not much way to choose for oneself, as they are many options and are somewhat distant from each other. The afternoon-night return happens at peak traffic time, possibly making you tired in the end. Choose the Pick-up option at home, are punctual and arrange routes so that no time is wasted in picking up tickets.

We found it very interesting as well as informative. We learned so many things we didn't know and saw things we wouldn't have known to go see. Carmen was great, and the drivers competent!

Look for a black van w the Panoramex logo. Our guide was Sergio, very amiable and informative. Since traffic is pretty bad, the bus trip is approximately 2 hours from Guadalajara to Chapala. You will have about 1.5-2 hrs in Chapala. Then a short time in Ajijic followed by a stop for mid-afternoon food at a lovely restaurant on Lake Chapala. One comment- if you are hard-of-hearing then do not sit past the 4th row in the van since the guide does not use a micrphone. Also, the van has a light but definite cigarette odor. All in all it was a very pleasant way to see some beautiful and tranquil parts of Jalisco.

Hector, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. The tour was bilingual (spanish and english) which I appreciated, since I'm trying to learn Spanish. A cool side stop was the 3 Portillos store, which is associated with Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez. Ajijic is my favorite of the two towns. The murals make it visually stunning and the history behind the murals is quite interesting (La Russa Sarah).

See if there's traffic. We were a little delayed by city traffic. Guide José Luis tried to give us the best time, but it was very congested traffic.
