My fiance and I had a great time on this tour. We got to do so many things in one day. None of our other tours had this variety of unique experiences. The car was comfortable. Our guide Joao was very friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. Even dropping off the tiles we painted at hotel the next day, which was a huge help. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an amazing experience. Not a normal touristy visit. We had a great day at the winery, cheese factory and the tile shop. The tours were given by experienced people who actually worked there and not just did tours. Our guide gave us lots of great information about Portugal and the area. It was topped off with a beautiful lunch at a seaside town. I highly recommend

My fiancée and I did the Lisbon cheese factory, wine tasting, and tile painting tour with João. We were received at each stop by a friendly and knowledgeable guide where we learned how queijo de azeitão is made from start to finish, got to see all of the operations of a local winery and tried an incredible sampling of wines and cheeses, and watched as skilled tile painters meticulously hand craft beautiful tiles. We had lunch in the gorgeous seaside town of Sesimbra and ended our tour at the Cristo Rei to enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon. Many tours in a city so busy can feel rushed and disjointed, but João executed this tour perfectly from start to finish. If you want a more personalized, peaceful tour experience at a comfortable pace that lets you truly take in your surroundings, I highly recommend booking with João at Portugallium

The tour was amazing, it was so great to get off the beaten path and see the inner workings of a popular cheese factory and then expertly paired with local wines. The highlight was the handmade tile factory with painting experience! We can’t wait to see what treasures our family created. João was incredibly insightful and showed us some very special places. We will most certainly use him again!

This was such a great and unique experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Portugal! Our guide João was very knowledgeable, friendly, and informative, he really made the tour special for us. From seeing how the cheese and wine is made (and getting to taste it!), to the sights and scenery of Portugal like the Christo Rei - everything was spectacular. I think this tour would add something special for anyone visiting Portugal and looking to enrich themselves in the culture. You won't be disappointed.

Cheese, wine, and tiles: This tour was incredible, all thanks to our amazing guide, João. From the start, he was welcoming, engaging, and made sure we had a great time. We explored a cheese factory, learning the craft and seeing it in action. Next, we visited a local winery, savoring four wines paired with bread and cheese, each bite perfectly complementing the wines—needless to say, we bought some! We also visited a tile-making workshop, where we witnessed ancient techniques still in use today. We even got to create our own tile, which will be mailed to us as a unique keepsake. To end the day, our Joãa took us to a local restaurant he recommended for a simple yet delicious meal. Overall, the João's warmth, knowledge, and attentiveness made this experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

This tour was an amazing experience, thanks to our fantastic guide. From the start, he was friendly, engaging, and attentive to our enjoyment. We began at the sheep cheese factory in Quinta do Anjo, learning about the cheese-making process and seeing it firsthand. Then, we visited the Venancio Winery, enjoyed tasting four different wines, each paired with bread and cheese from the factory we visited. Each piece of bread and cheese was topped with ingredients to complement each wine, creating a truly delightful tasting experience. Needless to say, we bought wine! The next stop was a tile-making workshop, where the owner demonstrated how tiles have been crafted for centuries. It was amazing to see the ancient technique still in use today. We had the opportunity to make our own tile, which will be kiln-fired and mailed to us as a unique keepsake--a fun, hands-on experience! Afterwards, our guide took us to a local restaurant he highly recommended. The meal was simple but incredibly delicious, the perfect way to enjoy the mid-day at Sesimbra. To wrap up the day, on the way back to Lisbon, we stopped at the Santuario Nacional do Cristo Rei and crossed the 25th of April bridge (replica of the Golden Gate bridge). Overall, our guide's friendly personality, knowledge, and attentiveness made this a memorable experience. Highly recommend!
