Sila went above and beyond. He was fun, knowledgeable. He was in tune to our needs. He made us a little tea cup made out of bamboo. Also out of bamboo made an old fashion “spit ball” pipe to blow spit balls between stops. Highly recommend.

  • Fantastic all day tour of Chiang Rai with a delicious buffet lunch included.

Fantastic, full day tour covering every major historical site in and around Chiang Rai with lots of nice surprises along the way. Our guide, Sunny, with the Moong Tour Group, was an absolute delight keeping us well informed and entertaining us throughout the entire day. This was a shared experience including my family of 4 plus 5 other guests, the driver, and Sunny. There was ample room in the van for all of us and it was comfortable with a good A/C system to balance the hot/humid weather. With 7 different sites to visit, this tour turned out to be an incredibly comprehensive journey and a full day experience starting with a prompt 8:00am hotel pick up and then returning at nearly 7:00pm in the evening. Appropriate dress code is required for men and women (no exposed knees or shoulders) to visit the temples and plenty of cold drinking water was supplied along the way. Attendees should be mindful of the long trip and bring snacks, sunscreen, hats, bug spray etc. as needed for the experience. There were ample bathroom breaks along the way. All of the site visits were fantastic and well worth the trip. During the rides from one location to the next, Sunny kept us well informed about where we were going and what the current and historical significance is of each location. Meanwhile, he also entertained us with is woodcarving skills spending the time between rides and while we were exploring on our own to create various little handmade gifts for all 9 passengers in the van. Lunch was included with this experience at an outstanding open buffet hosted by the Give Green Farmhouse Restaurant in Chiang Rai. This is a very well rated restaurant in the area and I wasn't aware that we were going to be having lunch there as my group had actually considered having dinner there the night before our tour but ran out of time. We were so happy to have discovered that lunch was at this location and it was fantastic. Plenty of buffet choices for everyone, including a good mix of traditional Thai and local Northern Thai style cuisine. Dishes were not too spicy to account for visitor's palates. We had a fantastic day and Sunny was among the top 2 tour guides that we had during our 2-week visit to Thailand. A highly recommended experience if you want to see everything there is to see in Chiang Rai in the course of a full day.

  • Great day out with Sunny and Dan

This was a great tour! Sunny is very knowledgeable about history, culture and more. The tour is jam packed with awesome surprises (which are not on the official list) but I don't wanna spoil them 😉. The lunch was a buffet one, pretty wide range of options, totally suitable for vegetarians. The itinerary is very interesting and the air conditioned van is comfortable. Dan, the driver, drove it very nicely!
