Simon L5.0Sep 2024Singapore is a melting pot of different peoples and the Kampong Glam, Little India, and Chinatown tour was an ideal way of learning about the history of the different cultures. Our guide Angel is very friendly and knowledgable, and is very good at taking photos for us. She also went the extra mile to give us a brief snack break at Tekka Centre to try out some delicious food which wasn’t in the itinerary! In summary we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend to anyone interested to learn more about the peoples of Singapore.Great introduction to an amazing city

It was nice to learn more about the history of Singapore through our terrific guide, Cheyenne, who showed us around, taught us how to use the MRT, and answered all of our questions that we had regarding Singapore. We enjoyed having a look at the different areas. In particular, we enjoyed learning about Singapore itself, its laws, its taxation, its languages, health provisions all provided through our questions. Memorable experiences included the Muriel walls in Kampong Gelam and Chinatown. Learning about the statue to commerate a group of Chinese samsui women (lady with a red headdress) and learning about the living conditions for the men workers at the time.
