We had an amazing time at Chobe National Park with Cuckoo Safaris & Puku Safaris. Easy pick-up and drive from Victoria Falls to the border with Botswana with Norman who guided us through border control for the hand-over to Puku Safaris who drove us to the awaiting boat for the river trip with our tour guide July. Great close-up encounters with hippos, crocs, buffalo, lizards & birds before stopping for a 3 course buffet lunch at a local lodge which was excellent. We then transferred to our game drive host Gift, who took us through the Chobe national park for sightings of elephants, giraffe, impala, jackels, hyenas and zebra, before returning to border control for an easy transfer back to our hotel with Norman. Thank you Cuckoo & Puku Safari's for a fantastic and memorable trip, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

You’ll need a multi entry VISA to get back into Zimbabwe from Botswana. Our guide was Gift - he was fabulous and very knowledgeable about the area and the birds & animals. Both the land safari and boat ride were amazing (although a little dusty on land at times) Buffet lunch at a great hotel was also wonderful.

Our first African Safari and we were blown away by what we saw. Elephants, by the 100’s crossing the Chobe river, buffalo doing what they do eating grass and of course the lions. 3 of the big 5 on day 1!! We also saw lots of giraffes, baboons, hippos. The pride lands were alive at 4pm and yes the elephants were on their way home. We could almost touch them. Thanks to Gift our guide for the day in Chobe very knowledgeable and Norman who dropped us at the Botswana boarder - thanks guys

We were picked on time by Richard and driven to the Botswana border where we passed us onto our land safari driver Nicholas from Puku safaris. He was really good, the drivers use walkie talkies so when one of them sees an animal they let the others where it is. If you have mobility problems this is probably not for you becayse the jeep has high steps and is very bumpy when travelling. We were fine with this and loved the off road type of uneven ground, we got to see a leopard, lions, elephants walking very close to us, giraffes and lots of different antelope. We were then taken for a lovely buffet lunch at Mowana hotel before being passed onto out boat driver, July who guided us on the river, where we saw crocodiles hippo, buffalo and elephants swimming. Both drivers were very informative and friendly
