Chobe National Park
This tour departs from Victoria Falls to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. You will be transferred to the Kazungula border where their Botswana Guide will meet them. From there you proceed straight to the River where you will spend the morning game viewing along the Chobe River. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided. The morning cruise ends at around 12.30hrs and clients are then taken to a hotel on the riverbank for lunch. After lunch, clients board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park where they will have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife. After the game drive, you are taken back to the Kazungula Border where you will be met by their Zimbabwean Guide for their return transfer to Victoria Falls, arriving at approximately 17.30hrs. Please note: Due to the previous night’s sightings, the order of the activities might be changed, i.e. start with a Game drive and finish with the Boat Cruise.

This was a fantastic day trip! They collect you from the hotel in a small vehicle (we only had one other person other than our family of 4) and transfer to another across the Botswana border (that was a larger group - we were 9 total). One of our family did not get their Botswana visa processed prior, but the company was very good about helping us apply in person at the border and we got it there. Warning - a birth certificate is a MUST for any under 18s. If one parent is not present then a NOTARISED permission doc from that parent is a MUST or they will reject you at the border. The boat safari and game drive were both exciting - we saw tons of animals and birds (Lions!!!) - guides were very informative and patient. The driver on the return trip even went out his way to take us to a supermarket for something we needed urgently. Overall highly recommend.

A lot of time wasted on the game drive and waiting for people that were late arriving. Driver spent a lot of time talking and felt like was filling time as opposed to driving to search for some animals during game drive portion. Cruise portion was good. Saw some animals but not a lot compared to other game drives we have been on. Had a bit of run around at Botswana border as well.

The game cruise and drive were really good. The itinerary stated tea and coffee in the morning which was not provided. The buffet was chaotic and had subpar food.

We had a great time especially the river safari. Lunch was decent too. One thing a little bit disappointed is that because we went there during the rainy season bushes were pretty tall and we couldn’t spot as many animals as we expected. But still highly recommended!

It was better than I could have planned and imagined for 1 day, and I'm a Zimbabwean! The organisation and execution through all the transit points was spot on, the guide was knowedgable mixed with fun, and the animals in the park were exceptional.

The morning in the boat was fantastic! Our guide did a great job of knowing what we cared about and catering towards that. Afternoon, was less good. The different guide seemed to not care much and rushed through the park. This booking was through Cuckoo Safaris, but all the guides and cars had a different logo on it. It felt like we were pushed off to someone else, likely because it was Christmas day. Overall, it was a good time, but just less than I was expecting.

We had the best day. Norman our driver to and from Vic Falls was excellent. We were handed over to Figo at the border for the formalities and from there he was our Captain and guide on to the river cruise. We wear lucky to only have 4 in the group so it very much felt like a private tour. Figo was an excellent quide and tried to locate as many animals as possible. After a lovely buffet lunch at a lodge on the river, we were handed on to Vusi + 2guides (sorry can’t remember their names). Again Vusi was brilliant, had such knowledge plus tracking skills. We saw everything we hoped for except lions, we saw prints just not cats. I use a stick and everyone from start to finish made sure I had all the assistance I needed and couldn’t have been more helpful. They even had a ladder to assist getting in to the jeep. Getting from the car to the boat was over uneven areas and getting on to the boat was slightly challenging but Figo was always on hand to assist. Again we had the best day and saw so much more than we thought we would. Chobe really is an amazing area with so much wild life. Everyone we met from Cuckoo tours couldn’t have been more polite, helpful, knowledgeable and above all great fun. Thank you so much for an amazing day.

Simon and Blessing helped us to have a wonderful day. The transfer was seamless, the boat trip was enjoyable and the jeep trip even more so. We saw lions, elephants, giraffe, various 'deer', buffalo, hippos and a wide range of bird life including king fishers and fish eagles. The lunch at a lodge was excellent. Our driver had caoes to hand for the torrential downpour! Just should have realised a single entry visa to Zimbabwe does not cover Botswana!!

Really great day of adventure. Nice small Group of 9+1 guide. Saw many animals on the game drive including a lion, giraffes, so many antelope, kudus, elephants, hippos, birds of prey etc etc… Then had lunch along the Chobe River at a wonderful hotel which was lovely. Lastly has a cruise along the river was excellent. More animals, elephants, hippos, crocodiles and buffalo. The journey there was great in an air conditioned van with lovely interior, the drivers were all amazing. What a wonderful experience. :)
