Choco-story Brussels
A master chocolate-maker will prepare pralines right in front of you. Tasting chocolate is of course a part of the tour and there is a shop for those of you who want more! As the visitor walks through the different exhibition rooms, he can learn the history of this precious commodity, from its origins to its transformation as a finished product. Samples of chocolate can be tasted during the visit and you can watch a demonstration given by our master chocolate-maker. Visitors are free to wander around the museum on their own or accompanied by a guide. Choco-Story Brussels was created in May 2014 when the two families Van Belle and Van Lierde united their efforts for the continual promotion of quality Belgian chocolate by opening their excellent educational, gourmet and great fun museum to the public.

I visited quite a while ago and usually never write reviews, but while planning another visit I noticed a comment accusing one of the staff of “promoting terrorism”, something I just couldn’t stay silent about. When I visited, I was struck by how kind and genuine everyone was. I especially remember one woman who wore a small badge showing support for peace and dignity for Palestine. As a Palestinian, that small gesture meant a lot to me, it showed empathy, courage, and humanity. It’s sad that such compassion could ever be misinterpreted. The whole experience was warm, memorable, and the chocolates (and the demonstration at the end!) were absolutely wonderful.

My visit was on September 5th and I entered at the last time and did not give time to do the whole tour. The place is easy to find and has a beautiful facade. The tour is self-guided and what hurts is that in some situations the audio-guide numbers are distributed across the building, so sometimes we need to go back and forth a bit, leaving it slightly confused. The place is accessible for chairs and there were 2 doing the tour at the same time and they were able to move around the whole building, with the help of an employee. The tour ends up all done through stairs, which ends up tired, especially after taking the tour of the Belgian Beer World Experience. The 2 seats tickets were bought together, in one package, which ends up coming out with a better price. And chocolate is provided at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the tour. At the end, a demonstration and explanation of the production of praliné is made. This chocolate is delicious, finishing the walk well.

Our Brussels trip ended on the sweetest note at Choco-Story. We had fun with the kids’ interactive games and listened to stories about chocolate’s long journey — from royal hot chocolate to praline-making. Tasting different percentages of chocolate was delicious. It's so impressive to see the chocolatier demonstrate the praline, and also we had a great end of the tour by having a tasty praline!

It's an okay experience for the price. However, the exhibitions seem half-hearted and need to be dusted off. Infolyd boards sometimes did not match what was shown. The staff at the entrance did not seem accommodating and they had to be called to become police officers.

Nice experience and tells of how old its cultivation and use as chocolate is., particular to discover also that once they used special ladles to create a nice tasty foam and how there were special cups to avoid getting your whiskers dirty. It is also nice to taste the various types of chocolate and with a quick demonstration of how to make stuffed pralines and to be able to taste them at the end of the visit. A good place to spend just over an hour, recommended.

On the way for a delicious journey through the history of beans, cocoa and chocolate in all its forms. For amateurs and connoisseurs and for all the curious!

Museum completely disappointing unlike the old! Perhaps larger but less qualitative. Less tasting (where is the chocolate fountain and biscuits speculoos?) Less dark chocolate for tasting... The models freaked me out and because of that, I couldn't even sleep in my 5-star hotel. Look at the pictures I shared, the Peruvian freaks out of mdrrr. Wesh, besides, at first they allow themselves to put "chocolate welcome tasting", mdr, there was nothing. The owner starts to make two museums face to face between them... and offer rates, go ahead, let go. 25 euros for the two museums, that's an egg. Eat this two-fifths of the families, love the money, forget the essentials, buddy.
