RETURN JOURNEY: Every day, we return all together in our private bus to downtown La Paz (San Francisco), arriving around 8:00 pm. SPECIAL DROP-OFF: If you have a night bus to catch, we can drop you off directly at the Central Bus Station (please previous coordination). As we arrive, you’ll join the vibrant crowd waiting for one of Bolivia’s most unforgettable experiences: Cholitas Wrestling. This experience is organized directly with the Cholitas Wrestling community. Your booking supports the performers themselves and promotes fair and responsible tourism, helping these women continue sharing their culture with dignity and pride. Unlike other visits where there is little cultural explanation, you will receive an exclusive digital PDF guide created especially for our travelers. This guide includes information not explained during the show, such as: The cultural meaning behind the performance Why this show became a symbol of strength and empowerment This extra material allows you to truly understand what you are watching, not just see it. Wrestling in Bolivia is known as an entertaining sport, and while locals usually attend on special occasions, today this event has become an authentic cultural attraction that allows cholitas to earn a living through their talent and courage. These remarkable women, dressed in their traditional pollera skirts, braids, and bowler hats, step into the ring to perform theatrical wrestling matches that mix athleticism, humor, and cultural storytelling. What looks like a show quickly becomes a powerful statement of identity and resilience — a celebration of strength and laughter that connects you to the heart of Bolivian culture. With us, you are not just a spectator. You are contributing to a vision of responsible tourism. We partner exclusively with Cholitas Wrestling Líder, the official company that pays the fighters, ensuring your visit truly benefits these incredible women. Most shows include music, crowd interaction, and moments where the performers invite laughter, cheers, and applause. Equality in the Ring: A Mixed Tradition Unlike the romanticized versions often heard abroad, Cholita Wrestling didn't start as a political movement, but as a passion for the sport itself. For decades, men (Luchadores) founded and sustained this tradition in Bolivia. Today, our show reflects that reality: it is a professional, mixed-gender event where men and women compete with the same rigor. To exclude men would be to ignore the history of the sport and the very equality the wrestlers stand for. You will see both skilled Luchadores and powerful Cholitas sharing the ring, just as it has been since the beginning.
