We had a great time from start to finish. Our guide Leo was informative, friendly and entertaining. Our driver “Dragon” was also superb and made us feel very safe navigating the small mountain roads. The sleigh ride was well organised and lots of fun, and if you make friends with the right sleigh driver they’ll share their homemade schnapps with you along the way to warm you up. It was snowing heavily on the day so it was cold but beautiful at the same time. A table was pre booked for us at the local restaurant where I had delicious pork knee and sauerkraut. The 1 hr trip back down to Salzburg is picturesque, although I slept on the way back after a big lunch and probably too many shots of schnapps. I highly recommend giving this trip a try, it’s well worth it!

An outward journey with coach and guide who mainly spoke a lot but not many interesting facts. The horse sled ride was fun, unfortunately little snow and the environment we rode through was not very special. The restaurant was already reserved for lunch afterwards but probably there was something else to eat. In the town of Ramsau there was not much to do while waiting for the return trip.

The weather was sunny and our first view of the Austrian countryside was glorious. Leopoldo was our boisterous and utterly charming guide and took care of every detail. There was a minimum of snow so we were on wheels but that didn’t diminish the fun. The homemade schnapps mid ride was a nice touch.

A beautiful and unique experience hosted by Leopold - our excellent tour guide who cared about the guest's welfare with sincerity as well as a great sense of humour and impressive knowledge! The Sleigh ride itself was such fun and a lovely thing to do at Christmas time. Thanks also to the bus driver for navigating the winding roads and Philip the accompanying tour guide. 10/10 recommend! Hasta la vista baby! ;)

The horse sleigh ride was absolutely my favorite part of this trip. We went to the location via bus, the service was punctual and professional. The ride was worth the money, as you were on the sleigh for two hours with a break in between, during which the horses rested, and you could enjoy some hot chocolate. The scenery was magical with the snow. I highly recommend this tour.

After an awful tour to Hallstatt the day before, I was almost tempted to cancel my day in Ramsau - so glad I didn't! There was actually a little bit of spare room in the coach, though it was quite small and not very comfortable. We had a good journey up into the snowy mountains where the horses were waiting to take us on what I believe was a 15km sleigh ride, with a break half way round. I loved the horses and the 7 of us in our sleigh all made friends quickly as we dashed through the snow. It was totally fabulous and I drained my phone battery taking pictures and videos of our wonderful journey. We then had a couple of hours in the village, which was probably a bit too long but I found a nice little place to have lunch (very little open on NYE Sunday). It was a full day and we got back into Salzburg around 6pm. I'd do this again in an instant.
