Not a snowshoe nor a traditional long back country ski – but a cross-breed with best of the both worlds. A wide, short, agile ski makes it easy to travel across thick snowfields. No previous skiing experience required for enjoying gliding across the puffy snowfields. Exploring Arctic forest was never so easy and effortless! The Classic Wilderness Skiing Tour lasts two and half hours. The tour can and will be tailored based on the clients' request. Guide will give a knowledgeable presentation about the Arctic nature and the old Lappish beliefs. Altai ski is a short, easy-to-use forest ski that combines the best features of a snowshoe. With a partial climbing skin integrated into the base, the ski climbs with ease. The skin also makes the ski slower and easier to control than traditional skis. The ski’s short, wide design makes it incredibly maneuverable, ideal for thick woods and variable terrain, a truly all-purpose backcountry tool.

What an incredible adventure! Wilderness skiing through the stunning snowy landscapes of Lapland, surrounded by magical pine trees, was absolutely unforgettable. Our guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the local nature and wildlife. To top it off, we enjoyed warm blueberry juice by a cozy fire—such a heartwarming treat, especially in the -20°C cold! A truly unique and memorable experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Lapland. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had the best time. We were a small group of two couples and the guide which made the experience all the more wonderful. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, telling us all about the different skis, the techniques and also about the wildlife/nature too, which we loved- such as the Siberian Jay, and the beard lichen, and the ageing of the trees. We had a go at some hills, and stopped for a chat, reflection, and hot berry juice (yum). We also did the Ice Climbing (and booked the snowshoeing under the aurora with another company through Bliss) and these were just as perfect- and we were the only ones on these activities! My comment would be, it would be nice for Bliss to consider a multiple booking discount?

We discovered wilderness ski and the national park thanks to Arturi! He was incredibly helpful, reassuring and gave us tips to make the best of the day. We had the best family day. Perfect service, equipment in excellent conditions and advice on the “important things not to miss”

It was our first time trying wilderness skiing and Tiina our guide was amazing. Not only was she knowledgeable about the local environment and wildlife, she showed patience and humour whilst we learnt the basics. We would thoroughly recommend doing this and hope to try it again sometime.

A unique experience. Great guide. You can explore the national park with skis and enjoy unique nature, but also gain a sense of standing on skis. Absolutely recommend!

With my 14 years old teenager, we had so funny and great hours with this activity :-) The skis are a mix of different kind of skis as we know them in the alps: more or less --> short, easy to ride and fun. The landscape was very nice and the guide super. He explained us a lot about the aera; we really liked it. We can recommand this activity 100% such also as all the others. We ice-climbed, we rided e-fatbike on snow ( really cool :-)) Bliss Adventure is very professional and exprimented.

We had an amazing time with Tiina, our guide, who brought us to beautiful views we had all to ourselves. She was very patient and knowledgeable. We were beginners and she adjusted the skill level for us, at the same time explaining things about the animals, vegetation and local geology. 10/10 :)

Bliss Adventures do exactly what is implied in the name - they take you on adventures that leave nothing but a smile on your face. Our family of 6 were led on a wonderful day out on skis in Pyha-Luosto National Park by Artturi. We were a family of different abilities and ages (some of us have skied before, some hadn't, and our parents are in their 60s). Artturi made the experience special for all of us. He was patient, kind, and particularly accomodating toward my mom who was especially nervous being on skis for the first time. His passion for the region and for the outdoors is evident, and he shared many stories of the wilderness with us as we glided across the soft snow. Skiing through unbroken snow in Altai skis is a really enjoyable experience, completely suitable even for those without any skiing experience. We found it more enjoyable to snowshoeing in some ways. All in all, highly recommend this activity with Bliss and would highly recommend Bliss Adventure as an activity provider for a trip to Pyha.
