Our guide David was excellent. He kept things light and humorous, gave us interesting information, but did not go so deep as to become overwhelming. I recommend this tour if you’d like a fairly quick but insightful look into the history of the Colosseum and Roman in general.

Incredible tour!!! I loved loved our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable, funny, passionate about history, and even gave us her grandmothers lasagna recipe at the end of the tour as a keepsake! 🥰 it was the best to get the historical context but also have time for pictures and some fun facts! Would highly recommend!

Where to begin....First, the headset Equipment provided did not work for most of the trip. This was suppose to be a English guided tour but the guide had a heavy italian accent. Everyone in our group struggled to hear or understand what was being said the entire tour. We started with 24 people and were down to 11 by the end as most people give up and left the tour early. I would definitely not reccomend city tours to anyone as this was basically a high priced rip off.

Back in 2017 I was in Rome, and I was lucky enough to be on a tour guided by David Battaglino. I've probably taken 1,000+ tours in various parts of the world, and I might remember 5 of the guides I've ever met. David is among the small handful of guides I do remember. On my 2024 trip to Rome, I made a point of being on David's Colosseum tour. It was even more fun than the last time. He is very informative and he keeps the attention of the group, not just with his knowledge but also with his sense of humor. If you want a tour that's both fun and educational, sign up with David and you won't regret it. You'll learn a great deal of history and have many good laughs along the way.
