What To Expect
The Strand
The historic Strand, a national landmark, was the Wall Street of the South prior to the Great Flood. So many people tried to take refuge in the upper stories of these magnificent bank buildings, but sadly perished. Over 10,000 people died on that fateful night. It is the largest national catastrophe to this day.
Galveston Railroad Museum
As we stand in front of the historic railroad where over 50,000 men would come by train to visit the bordellos, we will examine the hauntings that continue to this very day in the building.

2.00Our guide, Christopher, was a nice enough guy, but the tour itself was not good. The level of detail was superficial, I didn’t feel like I learned much, and I didn’t like how he presented some of the details, it was…pretty inappropriate, especially in the gruesome details like abortion, sexual abuse, murder, and even pedophilia, almost like these were salacious topics. We weren’t offended, just kind of grossed out by his apparent investment. I don’t know if this was our guide or the script that they follow. Maybe we’re just not the audience for the tour? But it didn’t feel worth the price for the amount of information we learned and especially not for us having to navigate how weirdly our guide presented the stories.
