Our tour guide Mauricio picked us up from our hotel on time. On the way to the Snow Valley (Valle Nevado in Spanish), we drove through 40 curves, followed by another 20, all very sharp curves. Along the way the scenery was breathtaking. We reached the Snow Valley at 11 am and almost immediately went to the Condor observation area. There were some wooden benches there so we could sit down. The toilets were a short walk away in the nearby buildings. We stayed there for about 2 hrs, watching condors. We saw several flying near the hotel buildings , and landing on the roofs, including at least one adult condor. Mauricio was friendly and also very knowledgeable. He took an excellent video showing an adult condor flying and sent to us (the ones taken by ourselves weren't very good). We had lunch afterwards in a nearby restaurant. We then drove back to Santiago and stopped at an artician market briefly before going back to our hotel. I highly recommend this tour If you are interested in seeing condors flying and great scenery in the Andes.

Fabulous views of condors in their environment. Excellent guide who gave good information about the area and knew best times to watch the birds in flight. We saw a mix of at least 3 adult birds and lots of different juveniles. The birds are wild and not tagged giving excellent opportunity for photos. The scenery is spectacular. This is, in my opinion a better tour than the one in punta arenas and for cruise ship people significantly cheaper than the one organised on board. The artisan village was good for last minute souvenirs

Excellent tour with a very knowledgable guide who drove the windy roads up to the ski resort expertly. We saw lots of condors - a wonderful experience. The restaurant was very good with choices of full meals or soup/sandwiches. Super day out.

Mauricio The whole day was wonderful. Mauricio our tour guide arrived 15 minutes early explained the whole day to us. He was an excellent driver and full of information on the Andes. He took us up to the ski resort at 3025m to see the Condors. We couldn’t believe our look they put on a show the whole time we stayed at least 12 of the gliding above our heads. He did not rush we had a drink and some lunch just sat watching them. After we went to the artisan village in Santiago some lovely craft shops. I would definitely recommend this tour 100%.

This tour goes almost due east of Santiago at a huge ski resort used for Olympic training for athletes all over the world. We saw six condors at the first site and four at the next. The two of us were the only ones on the tour. The artisan center had some of the best jewelry shopping in Chile. We would do it again. The ski resort itself was shut down a few days for ski season, but we were able to get hot tea. Hold out for the restaurant in the artisan center but it was a late lunch

We were a small group of 4 plus Mauricio. He was very accommodating and allowed us to decide when we had sen enough. We were happy when we saw 2 condors soaring and couldn’t believe that by the time we left we had seen 10. The road was an unexpected bonus with all the Sunday bikers sharing the road.

We really enjoyed our experience with Mauricio. We went to find Condors and we did. They were soaring all around us. Mauricio was an excellent driver. The artisans village was also worth a visit. Thanks for a great day.

We were absolutely delighted with the expedition to see condors. We must have seen a dozen altogether and could watch them soar high overhead. Some got very close (5 m) and one soared overhead so close we could hear the wind turbulence from its wings! Mauricio was our guide for the day - a delightful man (fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English). The artisan village at the end of the tour was very nice. Great selection of locally made artisan products and prices seemed very reasonable.

The tour was excellent as was our driver/guide, Mauricio, who owns the company! We stopped at a couple of places along the way to our final destination and enjoyed the entire day. Lunch at the ski area was delicious, and what’s not to love about 17+ Andean condors flying around overhead as we ate!! Mauricio is a wealth of knowledge about the Santiago area, and we’d definitely recommend the tour with him.
