(We actually did the Cradle of Humankind Tour but it was not listed on the options for which activity we did). We had such a great time on our Cradle of Humankind tour! Byron picked us up from our hotel and took us to the Sterkfontein Caves and the Maropeng Visitor Center. The cave was a bit of a workout, but it was so cool and super informative. We learned a lot about early human species and the discovery of ancient remains. The tour guides at both stops were excellent. Byron got us back to our hotel safely after the tours and gave us great information along the way. Such a fun and educational day — definitely recommend!

The full-day tour of Johannesburg and Soweto, including the Apartheid Museum, was extremely well planned and professionally delivered. Everything ran smoothly, and the experience was both informative and engaging. What truly elevated this tour, however, was our guide, MARVIN. MARVIN did far more than simply lead the tour — he brought South Africa’s history to life with sincerity, passion, and a strong personal connection. It was clear that guiding is more than just a job for him; he shared the country’s story with deep respect, pride, and genuine emotion, which made a lasting impression on all of us.

Our guide Marvin from Afrika Moja was absolutely outstanding and truly passionate about his work. He brought the city to life with engaging stories, deep historical knowledge, and vivid explanations that made every stop fascinating. He was extremely approachable, patiently answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about what he does. The tour far exceeded all of our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to truly understand and experience the city.

This was an exceptionally well-organized and beautifully guided full-day tour of Johannesburg and Soweto, including the Apartheid Museum. What truly made the experience outstanding was our guide - MARVIN. He didn’t just guide us – he shared the story of South Africa with real heart, passion, and deep personal engagement. You could feel that this wasn’t just a job for MARVIN; he was guiding with genuine emotion, pride, and respect for the history. MARVIN was incredibly energetic, positive, and attentive, always making sure everyone felt comfortable and involved. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he was more than happy to extend the tour, take extra time for explanations, and answer all our questions in depth. His storytelling was powerful and moving. Thanks to MARVING enthusiasm, knowledge, and warm personality, this tour became one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Johannesburg — especially if you want more than just sightseeing, but a meaningful and unforgettable understanding of South Africa’s history and spirit. If you can ask the company that Marvin guide you, you won't be disappointed.p

Marvin and Ben were the best people to spend the day with. Marvin was enthusiastic kind and honest and had such a great way of delivering the information so we got a holistic picture of Johannesburg and surrounds. While we received a lot of really heavy information Marvin was a bright smiling face to be around. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get to know the history of South Africa and spend a day with great guides

Marvin is very skilled in delivering a lot of information at the right time and pace throughout this jam packed day. Just the right amount of history and culture- but still with a great deal of humanity and humour even when covering difficult subject matter. And all the while skillfully navigated by Ben. We all would definately recommended this tour.
