After a break for lunch at a traditional local restaurant, continue to Hunedoara, home to the breathtaking Corvin Castle (Hunyad Castle). One of Europe’s most impressive Gothic fortresses, this legendary stronghold was once the seat of the powerful Hunyadi family. Explore its grand halls and towering battlements while hearing fascinating tales of John Hunyadi and Matthias Corvinus. After a day of discovery, relax on the return drive to Cluj, arriving in the evening.

5.00Beautiful visits. Prioritize visiting the castle in the morning because there are many people, and the rooms are small with narrow stairs. A lot of stairs to climb!

5.00Our guide was well-informed, friendly and helpful. We were collected on time and the trip went smoothly and to plan. it was a long day with a fair amount of time spent in the car between the two sites that we visited, but it was well worth the effort.
