Cueva Ventana

Discover the beauty of Cueva Ventana in Arecibo. This iconic limestone cave, perched on a cliff, offers a spectacular view of the Rio Grande de Arecibo valley through its famous "window." The adventure begins with a hike through a lush tropical forest, where you’ll encounter diverse plant life and experience the serenity of Puerto Rico’s natural landscape. Inside the cave, you’ll explore its fascinating features, including ancient Taíno petroglyphs carvings left by Puerto Rico's indigenous people, offering a glimpse into the island's rich pre-Columbian history. As you make your way through the cave’s chambers, you'll also learn about the difference type of bats and there ecosystem. Your expert guide will share insights about the cave’s ecological significance. The tour culminates at the famous "window," where you’ll be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the valley below, a moment perfect for capturing memories. This is a moderated hike, not extreme.

Cool down and enjoy our hidden waterfalls while river trekking into one of the karstic zone canyons. Once we complete a 15-minute hike through the water and beautiful rock formations, we will reach one of the most impressive waterfalls in the northern region. Once there, you will be able to swim, go under the waterfalls, and do some cliff jumping (all optional at the second waterfall). You will get wet and enter the water up to chest level (we provide life jackets). Important: If the weather does not make it safe for us to enter the water, we will go to a natural spring instead.

What a fantastic excursion! Jose was kind and knowledgeable. He made it a great experience! I highly recommend this excursion. Tennis shoes are a must for the hikes. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful sites of Puerto Rico!

Our guide was amazing. He deserves 150% rating of this trip. We couldn’t hike waterfall due to rain and concern of flood and instructions on type of clothes required and shoes required was not very clear in the trip. I would not pay this much for this trip.

10/10 experience! I went on the Cueva Ventana and Waterfall Adventure in Arecibo, Puerto Rico with my family, and it was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, our guide Jose was incredibly attentive, informative, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included, especially since we're not swimmers. He guided us safely through every part of the tour and went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for all of us. Jose didn’t just guide us he also became our photographer, capturing amazing memories along the way. His knowledge of the area and warm personality made the whole day even more special. I’d recommend this tour to anyone. Whether you're adventurous or just want to soak in Puerto Rico’s natural beauty, this tour has something for everyone. Can’t recommend it enough!

Wow, when I tell you that my partner &’ I enjoyed our entire tour ! Gabriel (Gabo) was an amazing tour guide. He is really passionate about really showing the true side of Puerto Rico ! It was a great experience. He really went out of his way to make this experience everything. He is very cautious with all his guest. He gave use important details about Puerto Rico. He really made us feel comfortable throughout the whole tour. He really made us connect with the Islands nature. Overall experience 10/10. I would really recommend to everyone ! Especially with Gabo !

Great experience loved every thing about this tour, our tour guide was amazing he knew a lot about the area and history. He actually took us to and additional part due to the rain the previous night which was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend doing this tour it’s not a lot of hiking but make sure you have some coordination and balance.

This tour was excellent! The guide at the cave (Danny) was very knowledgable. The main attraction is the window but the other parts of the caves were great too, especially the bats, birds and petroglyphics. The hikes to and from the cave were not too strenuous.

this experience is a MUST! Enrique was the best guide ever, he is a great photographer too ;) . Tips before you book. WEAR SNEAKERS and bring water shoes, sunscreen etc. You are outside walking a lot. I wouldn’t change this tour for the world. GREAT PRICE. great people. great views. 10/10 would recommend

Our tour guide Jose for excellent. The first adventure was Cueva Ventana. The view after a short hike through two caves was amazing. Our tour guide had special flashlight and offered to take family pictures. This part of hike needs good sneakers for hiking. The next part of the tour was a visit to the waterfalls. It’s a very small hike to the waterfalls. You will be hiking in waist high water and will require swimming. We had one person in our group who did not know swimming and Jose eagerly helped us get to the other side. A good water shoe is preferred for this hike. The next stop was lunch (vegetarian options available). The last stop was the beach with hikes on the caves. This last stop has breathtaking views. Recommend hiking shoes for this part of the tour. Jose passionately shared the history of Puerto Rico at this location. Overall, a great tour. Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience for the entire family. The hike up isn’t too strenuous and definitely worth the effort to get to the caves. The waterfalls were amazing and you can relax or jump off rocks and go under the waterfall. Jose was a friendly and informative guide. Fantastic day of adventure!
