My family - ages 10-86 - spent a wonderful day with Paul in the Galilee, learning about the amazing diversity of foods and cultures in the area. We visited a local market, flour mill, coffee roasters, olive grove, and goat cheese farm, and sampled excellent food at each location. For us, the highlight was lunch with a Druze family who generously welcomed us into their beautiful home and cooked one of the best meals we've ever eaten! I'd highly recommend this tour.

Our GalilEat experience was the best part of our Israel tour! Our guide Paul started with a trip to a working local market. The colors and aromas of the local fruits and vegetables were amazing. Paul's relationship with the local vendors is wonderful to see. He obviously has close friendships with the the people of his community. Following our market trip, Paul took us to an authentic family-owned and working flour mill and wood fired pita bakery that was fabulous. One of our favorite parts was seeing 3,000 year old olive trees and a delicious lunch by a Druze woman who cooked us a delightful meal and shared her story with us. We HIGHLY recommend any of Paul's tours. He is so knowledgeable of the local areas, and history, and also makes touring fun and personal. It was especially moving to have an in depth look at an area in Israel where Jews and Arabs live side by side peacefully. Don't miss this tour. Great for all ages.

We had a wonderful day with Paul. You will learn a lot and eat a lot, so come hungry. Paul was very knowledgeable and interesting. The food was delicious, but the highlight was definitely lunch with a local family. They were so warm and welcoming we did not want to leave. Book this tour - you won't regret it.

An extraordinary day of sharing insights into the food, culture, people and history of the Galilee. Paul’s insights and passion are rare.

We did a full day culinary tour with the add on in home meal -- despite the dreary weather that day, it was the highlight of my parents' visit to Israel! Paul is a wonderful and knowledgable host -- he trained as a chef and is clearly passionate about the region and its food. When we asked, he was happy to talk politics and tell us about his family and own story of how he came to be in Israel; he is an authentic and not at all scripted guide. Paul was very responsive via email in the lead up to the day tour and followed up afterwards by sending me receipes for the (many) dishes we had eaten/cooked. Our day included visits to a goat cheese farm, olive tree grove, pita bakery, local market and winery. All lovely, off the beat and path spots that we never would have found on our own. The highlight though, was the in home cooking session - our host spoke only Arabic and Hebrew but Paul was a good translator as needed and we really got the feel for Galilee hospitality. And off course, the food was plentiful and delicious! FYI, we drove north from Tel Aviv and met Paul at the first stop for a 930 start time. From there, we did a bit of car juggling to drop my car at the final stop before all packing into Paul's car for the duration of the day. It's not very much driving, so no issue packing into a single car but do note that you need to have your own means of transit to get to the Galilee in the first place. Can't recommend a tour with Galileat highly enough!

My wife and I had done the half day culinary adventure three and a half years ago when we were in Israel and thoroughly enjoyed that experience. When we put together a return trip to Israel for ourselves and 5 friends the first thing that we did was to book a Full day tour with Galileat. From our initial contact Paul was prompt with his responses and very easy to work with. With our group of seven there was a number of food allergy issues and they were not a problem as Paul is a true professional. His attention to detail is superb and he was a pleasure to work with. Also and importantly, Paul's knowledge about the culinary issues of the Galilee is amazing and his zeal for the cuisine is infectious. It was a delight to spend the day with Paul.Besides being a scrumptiously delicious day it was also very educational for our group as his knowledge and insight into many areas of life in Israel were greatly appreciated. I speak for all seven of our group in saying that we would highly recommend an experience with Galileat.
