What To Expect
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian MARTIAL ART that combines FIGHT, CULTURE, DANCE, MUSIC and ACROBATICS. It teaches discipline, self-defense, physical fitness, and on top of all of that is extremely connected to the Afro-Brazilian ancestry. The class is directed to BEGINNERS students who have NEVER TRAINED Capoeira. So don't worry, it is not necessary to have any type of experience! You will be just fine. I will teach you the attacks, defenses and flow movements. Be prepared to breathe the culture of Salvador. Training with us, you will learn so much more than just the exercise, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Vamos!

5.00We had an incredible experience in this Bachian samba class at the traditional capoeira school of Master Bimba. It was much more than a dance class: we learned about the history, the philosophy of the school and the cultural roots of the Baiyan samba, which is very different from the samba of Rio. The teachers were extremely generous, didactic and welcoming, creating a light, fun and knowledge-filled environment. We spent an hour dancing, laughing and learning, and we left with the feeling of having lived something genuine and special. I highly recommend to those who want to know the Brazilian culture in a deep, respectful and cheerful way. An unforgettable experience!

5.00Actually, we only wanted to attend the samba course, but then we also participated in the capoeira course. We got to know a lot about the origin and tradition of samba and capoeira and were not physically spared! We had a lot of fun and the sore muscles are on the way;) Absolutely recommend!

5.00We booked a capoeira class at Associaçao de Capoeira Mestre Bimba. As complete beginners, we were first taught the basics before going into some more challenging work. Our teacher was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we got our heads around the different exercises. The class is a lot of fun and a great way to learn more about the art of capoeira. Be ready to sweat, because this class is some great exercise.
