Discover one of eastern Georgia’s most unique landscapes on our full-day David Gareji Tour. We begin our journey from Tbilisi and drive through the dramatic semi-desert scenery toward the historic David Gareji Monastery, a 6th-century cave complex carved into the cliffs along the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. After exploring the monastery and enjoying panoramic views, we continue with a guided walking tour in the spectacular Rainbow Mountains, famous for their colorful mineral layers and untouched nature.
Our next stop is a short visit to the tranquil salt lake near Udabno, where the white salt crust and wide open plains create a striking contrast to the surrounding hills. We then head to Kakheti for a relaxing break at Wineria Kakheti restaurant in Tokhliauri, where you can enjoy authentic Georgian cuisine and local wine. In the evening, we return comfortably to Tbilisi, completing a day filled with history, landscapes, and flavors of Georgia.
