What To Expect
Berat Castle
Berat Castle looms above the city, filled with more than 2400 years of history, a museum, churches, mosques houses shops ect. The castle is built on a rocky hill on the left bank of the river Osum and is accessible only from the south. The center of the castle quarter is rich with many Byzantine churches; most of them unique for the wall paintings, icons and the values they hold.
National Iconographic Museum Onufri
This museum is set inside the Cathedral of Saint Mary up in the magnificent Berat castle. It's a collection of Byzantine carved iconostasis, as well icons painted by the famous Albanian artist Onufri.

5.00The trip was very interesting. First, a drive through small towns, and then a visit to Berat Castle. the icon museum made a huge impression. Our guide Amos also took us to the Cobo winery. We had a nice day.

5.00Frenkli, the agent, Geni, the driver and Amos, the guide were the best combination. I enjoyed (we enjoyed) the whole day trip to Berat. It was exactly what I was looking for: a mixture of tourism, history, art, language, culture, chill, relax and socializing. I wish these arranged tour would cater affordable prices for solo travelers like me. It was the only one that kept it price!! Bravo, Discover Albania.
