I'll drive you around Roatan at a pace you're comfortable with in my own Nissan Urvan so you can enjoy the open road, island breeze, scenic views, and sunny tropical weather.
Years ago, locals used to have monkeys as pets, but they were very jealous and territorial, so they would act out if you gave more attention to another pet or even your own kid! This is why they now live in these special shelters.
This shelter rotates the sloths that travelers come across around every 4 hours so they are always well-rested!
We will visit communities from different ethnic groups. A true local myself, I'm part of one of 9 different ethnic groups on our island, which include people from Latin America, Africa, and Europe. We'll drive through Los Fuertes, the biggest Latino community in Roatan, and visit Punta Gorda, where the Garifuna community lives. Some Garifonas start their day fishing in the early morning, and return hours later to sell their catches!

You first drive atv(quad bike) on the road and into the forest. You drive in muddy ground so rough clothes are a must. You'll be guided by a guide who drives first. You have the opportunity to flush yourself when you come back. Then you go ziplining in jungle-like nature with a magnificent view of the harbor and the sea. You go several different courses and guided by the guides how to go zipline in different ways. Funny. Actually, we should have met sloths and monkeys after this but because we from our cruise ship could not get to shore in time, this did not have time, which the guides regretted. They had a tight handle on this and knew when we would be on the boat and adapted excursions accordingly in a professional way.

Dave was absolutely amazing!! He was so insightful and taught us so much about Honduras. He was very patient and had no problem waiting at all three excursions while we had fun! He came ATV riding with us and took so many pictures/videos and didn’t charge us for them. He let us pick our own music in the car and we all jammed out together! Dave was a 10 out of 10 tour guide and was just very fun to talk with! If you’re looking to go on this excursion, I would highly recommend. We got to see amazing views and we thought it would only be one zip line, but it was 16! ATV riding was also very fun and we went through beautiful trails. Then, to top it all off we got to hold monkeys and pet sloths. As well as, parrots, deer, hamsters, and so much more! It was beyond cheap for how much we were offered when this also included transportation to and from.

Tour guide was friendly, zip line was interesting the way it's set up. Atv riding showed many lovely houses and the beach is so gorgeous.

Great guide/driver. Loved the atvs and especially the zip-lines. The town was just packed and hectic. Would recommend!

Miguel Very friendly and knowledgeable of the island! Nobody else’s booked with us and we had our own personal tour. 10/10, he stopped for shopping and for an awesome spot for cheap snacks! The ATV’s was a blast and the zip lining didnt disappoint!!

We had an amazing experience! All of the staff were very friendly, and we got back to the cruise ship with plenty of time to spare! Olison was our driver’s name, and he made our experience even better! As we drove around he pointed out different buildings and told us about their culture and scenery. 10/10 experience I would recommend to everyone! The excursion was 4-5 hours long which is very worth it for the price!

I would like to start by saying that our driver was incredibly nice, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of the tour. The entire experience was poorly managed, and I feel compelled to share my frustration. First off, the confirmation from Viator didn’t provide any details about what time we should meet for the tour, which forced me to call the tour operator directly for clarification. They never reached out to me proactively to confirm the details, which should have been done. We arrived early in the morning, excited for the day ahead and hoping to experience everything the tour promised. However, due to poor planning on the operator's part, we spent the entire day at the zipline and animal park. This left no time for the ATV portion of the tour, which was one of the main attractions we were looking forward to. The driver informed us that the ATV location was an hour and a half away, which clearly meant we wouldn't have enough time to make it back to the port on time. We decided to request a 50% refund, given the lack of time for the ATV portion and the mismanagement of the schedule. However, we were flatly denied because the tour operator claimed that we chose to go back to the ship early, even though the driver himself was telling us that we would not make it back in time. This was the first, and definitely the last, time I will book an excursion outside of the cruise company. We reached out multiple times to Viator, hoping for a resolution, but they never bothered to ask for our side of the story. They only communicated with the tour operator, leaving us without a fair chance to explain our experience. The whole thing was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I do not recommend using this company.

What I didn’t like about the excursion was, I called the Roatan Experience my favorite self after book through Viator. They told me that the Animal Park with the Sloths and the Monkeys were in their natural habitat and that we would have plenty of time to interact with the animals. The animals were in cages. We only had time with one sloth and our group consisted of 9 people. There were 2 groups ahead of us to interact with the monkeys. Because of time we couldn’t wait to interact with each he monkeys because we still had at least an hour to drive to the other side of the island. The zip line was awesome and the ATV portion of the trip was great. I’m saying it was average because of not being able to interact with the monkeys and they were in cages. This part of the excursion was very disappointing. Also it said that water was included in the price. I mentioned this to the tour guide Brandon and he just ignored me. It was extremely hot this day.
