Departure to Bulla Régia (160 km from Tunis). This area is well worth a visit for its fascinating history. Here, the Romans built their villas with one floor above ground level and another below, to avoid heat. Seven villas have been excavated so far and named after the beautiful mosaics discovered within. Proceed to Dougga (65 km from Bulla Regia). Lunch at a local restaurant.
Dougga houses some of the largest Roman ruins in North Africa. The tour starts with the theatre erected during the II Century and donated by the Gracchus family & it continues to the "Place des Roses de Vent", the Market Place, dominated by Mercury, the god of commerce, the well preserved Capitoline Temple, dedicated to the three roman deities, the Forum, the Public licinius Baths & it ends with the House of Trifolium, the Cyclopes therms and the magnificent twelve-seat latrines.

fantastic visit to the places that belonged to the Roman Empire former colonies of the same. started from the gare de louage in Tunisia and visited the places in a single day but it is not enough; it takes more days to see the beauties of the empire and then you will remake the tour by redoing the locations 'one a day.

The trip was very well organised and is highly recommended for history novices and buffs alike led by a very knowledgeable tour guide and skilled driver, both of whom were excellent company throughout the day.

Guide was knowledgeable, energetic and friendly. The driver was capable and pleasant. Both were a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this tour. We enjoyed the lunch and tour of Dougga & the mosaics at Bulla Regia were a major highlight. Our only negative comment was the mode of transportation which was cramped, uncomfortable and inappropriate for the length of the tour. Vehicle (Kia) was cramped and had no shocks which was uncomfortable and exasperated back and neck issues. Overall enjoyed the tour and would 100% endorse it if another vehicle was available. Otherwise I hesitate to recommend it.
