Ideal for the novice or experienced angler. Our friendly, professional crew are always ready to lend a helping hand. We will gladly help with rigging, baiting or advising on techniques that work best in local waters. If you like to do all the work yourself then we will happily step and back and act as support crew.
The emphasis on our tours is fun. Our local reefs are quite prolific and in order to keep them that way, we vary the spots we choose to fish and throw back anything but the best 'keepers'.
We maintain a full range of professional level equipment and tackle appropriate for the local environment. We've also added some new power-assist rigs so we can deep drop in water over 1,000 feet.
You keep what we catch, within reasonable limits, for the personal consumption of guests on the charter. We do promise though, that guests get first pick of the catch. The crew will clean the fish for you but unfortunately, we cannot assist with packing and shipping fish off the island.

What To Expect
Enjoy coastal and deep sea fishing Caribbean style, off the southern coast of St Maarten. In 60 - 200 feet we use traditional hand-line or rod and reel to go after exotic reef fish such as Triggerfish, Tilefish, Blue Runners and small Groupers. At the 300 - 600 feet we can troll the surface for Tuna, Barracuda, Kingfish, Mackeral and Mahi-Mahi using either lures or natural baits such as rigged ballyhoo. Occasionally we can find a nice raft of weed or other debris and cast with lighter equipment. In deeper water up to 1200 - 1500 feet we switch to our power-assist rigs and deep drop for Snapper and Grouper. Our actual strategy will vary throughout the season and even day to day. depending on current sea and weather conditions. We have a few go-to spots which we like to vary in order not to over-fish. No experience necessary! Our friendly crew are always ready to lend a helping hand. On-board private head, lots of deck space and all the fishing gear, beach toys and snorkel gear you'll need to have a fun day in the sun on the Caribbean Sea. Not much fishing action going on? We can always head into a nice beach for some swimming and/or snorkeling.

1.00I booked this almost a year in advance. The morning of, I called to verify the address to board the boat. Sure glad I did. Sounded like they double booked the boat and wanted to stick me on someone else's boat. Mind you my card was already ran the day before! I booked the boat off the reviews and how people enjoyed the captain. Whoever answered the phone that AM did nothing but try and blame me. I called you. Nope, I emailed you, not 1 time. Really wanted a fun fishing day for the wife and I. Book elsewhere, waited almost a year for nothing but an unprofessional experience and lies with no fishing trip.

5.00We booked a last minute half day charter and had a great time on the Blue Bi U catamaran with Randy and Sparrow! We caught barracuda, porgy, & rougheye and they filleted them up back at the dock for us to cook for dinner that night. Professional, seasoned anglers who were friendly and eager to help however they could. Found a few great spots just off the coast of St Barts and ended up with about 16 in the cooler. Great fishing day with the family. Would highly recommend Coconut Reef Charters!

5.00Coconut Reef reached out the night before to recommend not going out on our scheduled day because of stiff winds and big swells. It was 100% the right call. They rescheduled us for the next day and the water was significantly calmer and a better day out. Captain and mate were knowledgeable and friendly and had us on a school of tuna within the first 45 minutes. Hooked a 6ft lemon shark that one of our group fought for 20 minutes or so before getting him to the surface. Crew filleted up our black fin catch and we had it that night for dinner. Outstanding.

1.00Great introduction from the owner Craig! Got us so excited for the day! Left the dock and trolled for two hours and the captain and the fisherman didn’t talk with us at all! It was that way all day! Fishing experience was nothing but trolling and they never switched out lures or did anything to make the day at sea welcoming or fun! They hardly spoke to us the entire 5 hours! Needless to say very disappointing!

5.00From the beginning it was obvious this is a well run and trustworthy business. We had some issues with connectivity to the third party booking site which was quickly resolved by a call to Sheryl and Craig the owners The first day we chose turned out to be less favourable weather but we were rebooked to another day. The fishing was good, we brought in two nice Mahi-mahi and released a couple barracuda. The Captain Randy was knowledgeable and competent and the mate Ricky was at home on the back deck and with all the tackle. The boat is a purpose built power cat that's roomy and comfortable. We look forward to another trip next year!

5.00What an amazing experience on board with JP and Diana . Great Captains .. I can’t recommend this fishing trip enough they kept hunting all the time and my daughter caught a Yellow Fin tuna and JP taught her how to bring it in , she loved the experience. Next the son in law caught a barracuda . We felt extremely safe and made to feel very welcome and comfortable on the boat which is perfect in all ways. Thankyou so much Jp & Diana, memories made forever.
