Cradle Mountain
The journey to Cradle takes us through the beautiful landscape . In 1910, Gustav Weindorfer declared that this should become a National Park accessible to everyone for all eternity. Today, it stands as one of Australia's renowned national parks, safeguarding a majestic glacial terrain and the remarkable plant and animal life it harbors. The rugged outlines of Cradle Mountain encircle the frigid Dove Lake, creating a striking panorama that you can appreciate as you wander along the lake's shores. This dolerite summit stands out as one of the park's natural wonders, though the unpredictable weather of Tasmania's highlands frequently veils the mountain in mist.

John was a great host. He went out of his way to accommodate me on a visit to Cradle Mountain and he kept me informed of arrangements at all times. He's very friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Cradle Mountain itself is absolutely gorgeous. A fantastic experience. Highly recommended.
