We loved our stay in Akaroa. Easy walking around the shops, cafes and sites. Great food. The gardens were in bloom with roses!

Read the previous review and was fore-warned to download the tour before setting off. It worked well and the information was current and relevant. Nice little city with eclectic shopping and good food.

If you are not the best with technology I would not suggest this audio self guided tour. That being said I may not be the best one to write this review. Once I figured out how to get this on my phone I needed to refer to the map that I had downloaded on my phone. It would have been easier to have the map in hand while listening to the audio. Sadly I would not recommend this.

Free WiFi to be able to utilize this tour was non-existant. We couldn't get download with using our own data plan and costing us more money. We were not told on website to download prior to getting to Akaroa which then we would have been able to use it. Well we still walked around and enjoyed the city. Not worth the money.

Loved the sound effects - and the ease of going from one highlight to the other without having to think too much about it. Easy to download too.
