Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in the centre of Bariloche and head towards Guttierrez and Mascardi Lakes. Driving along their shores, we will then take a dirt road to get to Cerro Tronador, where the journey really will start.
Cerro Tronador
Ride the coach a bit further to reach Cerro Tronador, the tallest mountain in the Lake District at 11,500 feet (3,500 meters). Home to seven glaciers, it was so named for the thunderous sound that ice chunks frequently make falling from the glaciers' faces. View Cerro Tronador's three peaks — Pico Chileno, Pico Argentino and Pico Internacional — while taking a short walk into the woods with your guide to view the glaciers.

We speak 0 Spanish, but the tour guide is very supportive (we forgot to ask his name T^T). The trip is very worthwhile. You can see the snow mountain, the Glacier, with many other beautiful landscapes.

we were wrong and booked a tour exclusively in Spanish although we do not speak it. Fortunately the guide spoke some English and was able to communicate all the instructions. landscapes of beauty,

The trip was exactly as described. It is a very long day driving off-road to get to the glacier, maybe five hours driving on rough roads. These are spectacular, especially the beautiful .

Excellent Nacho Guide, very funny and with interesting themes, very dynamic. As for the ride, it was very good, I would reduce the time in cute pampas and increase in the blizzard. Definitely a must-see.

The place is beautiful. We made several stops to take pictures and a final stop at Ventisquero Negro. The guide talked too much during the trip but left us on our own to see each place and take pictures. I would rather have a guide that goes with us to each place and then give us all the information. I expected more of this tour...

We had a spectacular day on the excursion to Cerro Tronador. The scenery is simply stunning and the contact with nature was unforgettable. We want to thank especially our guide Ignacio, who was attentive, professional and shared many knowledge throughout the tour. His passion for the place made the experience even more enriching and special. Thank you very much for this unforgettable day. Highly recommended!

The guide Sebastian was such a nice person, and knowledgeable too .. this was the very first day trip I took during my mobth-long Argentina and Chile trip and it was an absolutely amazing start! Though I don't speak or even understand Spanish at all, I booked the Spanish version of the trip in order to save cost and Sebastian very kindly explained little bit of history of Cerro Tronador to me and Anna (another tourist from my group, an English lady with almost no understanding of Spanish) which made the beautiful landscape come alive. I absolutely recommend this tour to both Spanish and English tourists!!! Bariloche is anyhow extremely beautiful and the people are very friendly and helpful too.

Horrific transport experience where we were taken, an old combi (AA968LY from Punto Sur SR) that did not work the air conditioning and with engine failure with 16 passengers on board and 29 degrees temperature, we were forced to open the glasses so much dirt entered that it made it difficult for us to breathe. They are not prepared to carry elderly people and less with some motor difficulty. As for the landscapes, they are incredible, it is a pity that in 2025 and with international tourism, they are managed by subcontracting vehicles not fit for this purpose. Sofia was our guide with remarkable professionalism. Thanks Sofia.

We arrived early to avoid the tourist buses and crowds. The area has fine viewing points with sensitive spots rightly fenced off. The glacier itself is impressive with a small lake at its base with calved icebergs floating in it. The birdlife seems unafraid of people which is perfect. I loved taking time out watching a pair of Patagonian Finches
