The Ilulissat Art Museum was initially erected in 1932 to house the colony's five managers and five commercial principals. It was then purchased by the municipal government and converted into the present museum, which opened in 1995. It is presently a house of numerous permanent and contemporary exhibits, featuring a permanent collection of roughly 50 paintings by Emanuel A. Aside from that, the museum has an artist-in-residence program.

The icebergs are undoubtedly the main draw. We also learnt about the local culture and history of this region. The guide spoke about some unique challenges as well as the joys of life in this remote Arctic settlement.

We showed up on time at the agreed location and the guide was a no show. We got no notice either. So we got our money back. Very disappointing.

It was amazing to see icebergs sail by and the surrounding landscape of Ilulissat is so beautiful. As part of this walking tour, the tour guide took us to some landmarks in Ilulissat, and told us about the history of the city. This is a walking tour where one must not miss to take a lot of memorable photos.
