What To Expect
The discover scuba dive allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters with no prior experience! Upon arrival, our PADI qualified instructors shall give you a detailed explanation of the logistics of the day, the apparatus you shall be using, the marine life in Gran Canaria, and all safety aspects. For the Discover Scuba diving excursion, we use the fantastic dive site Amadores Bay only a 15-minute drive from our base in the heart of Playa del Ingles! At the dive site, full training shall be provided which takes approximately 20 minutes and includes basic scuba diving skills which ensure you are comfortable and prepared to take your first fin-kicks! The dive shall last approximately 40 minutes depending on air consumption. This is more than enough time to be enthralled with the abundance of marine life that Gran Canaria has to offer, such as Angel Sharks, a native breed of shark common to Gran Canaria. Photos and videos can be purchased upon request. *Participants must be a minimum age of 10. A medical form must be completed upon arrival. A YES answer on the medical form means that the participant must get a medical certificate from the doctor prior to the dives.

5.00I highly recommend this company if you want to try scuba diving! I had a great time and felt very safe throughout the experience. I did panic a few times during the three tests we did in the water at the beginning, but once I got over it, I had an amazing time underwater. We saw many different kinds of fish. Also, my instructor took many photos and videos! You get those for additional cost, but it's definitely worth it ! The instructors are very friendly and professional. They explain everything you need to know before you enter the water (and will explain multiple times if needed :) ) My dad joined us as a non-diver and felt very nervous for me at first, but he told me that he felt reassured about my safety after meeting the instructors and seeing how clearly they explained everything. I had such a great experience, and because of this, I definitely want to dive again!

I needed a refresher dive and a team member supported me perfectly. Afterwards, I could join the group and fully enjoy the second fun dive. 5 stars — highly recommended!

5.00Leagues Ahead proved to be an excellent choice for my pre-teen son's first experience of SCUBA diving. James used a good mixture of patience and humour to go through the principles and made sure my son was comfortable with what was going to happen, including the explanation, demonstration and repetition of important safety procedures such as equalisation and mask clearance. James guided my son carefully but also allowed him some freedom of movement once his basic competence had been ascertained, which contributed greatly to his overall enjoyment. The site (TUFIA) was ideal for a beginner: beach entry and gradual increase of depth (thus easy to bail out early if not comfortable) with plenty of things to see all the way. As a bonus we also had a trainee divemaster along with us to guide and look out for exotic creatures - and keep an eye on me, of course. I was very happy with all aspects of the day from pick-up to drop-off, a very competent, friendly and knowledgeable team, would definitely dive with them again. (Will post equally positive snorkelling review soon!)

5.00My boys and husband joined the Scuba Diving on 11th August 2025. I can go with them even I’m not joining the adventure. Free pick up from our hotel. Safety briefing in the shop. The coaches helped them to find the correct fit wetsuits patiently and professionally. After the theory teaching and deep discussion, I was confident to let the boys go. Safety is always the major concern. They did have a great time under the sea. Thank you very much!!!

5.00It was a great experience, and the staff were really friendly. We got picked up from our doorstep and taken straight to the drive centre to get fitted for our wetsuits. We then got driven to the dive point where we received a comprehensive input about what we could potentially see. Immediately, on getting into the sea, we saw fish. I really feel the staff made this a five star experience. I would definitely recommend.

They pick you up at your hotel and take you back, at all times they have been super attentive to us and very friendly both Emilio, Aron or James. 5.00We had the pleasure of diving with James and Anthony and I can’t thank them enough for their patience with myself and my 17 year old son and 19 year old nephew we had a great afternoon and felt safe and relaxed the whole time. Getting to see some of the beautiful fish around the cove of Amodores beach and learning skills of scuba diving was a highlight of the holiday. We were collected from our hotel in Puerto Rico and driven to the beach where the equipment was waiting for us, we were offered the GoPro footage of the dive with no pressure to purchase but I’m glad we did as we got some great little videos and photos. Thanks again guys I would 100% recommend your dive school in a heartbeat. Keep up the great work Nicola, Ben and Joel
