What To Expect
Here you will learn how to tell a story and get close to people for photograph their environment. It consist in a 3 hours photography tour based at morning from 7 to 10:00 Am in Bazurto Market (Local popular market) and 2 hours after in Getsemani (Traditional and not yet gentrified neighborhood) We´re going to skip all fancy lifestyle, we'll be in touch with people, hard workers: fishermans, vendors, popular merchants and incredible persons. You´re going to see another face of Cartagena and get stunning photographs

Her tour is fully immersive allowing you to fully embrace the culture around you. This is a must do for any photographer.

5.00This tour with Paola was one of the highlights of our 35 day vacation in Colombia. The first 3 hours were spent in Bazurto Market. This is not a destination to go on your own without a guide. If you want to learn about documentary photography this tour is for you. Paola is a regular visitor to this market and she knows some of the vendors, which helps with the photo taking. At the start of the tour, she gives you an assignment and that helps you to stay focused and concentrate on what your purpose is. She gives tips and stops at various stalls where snacks and food can be bought to try out different Colombian dishes and drinks. Wear boots and is you have a DSLR camera, keep your camera bag in front of you and be alert at all times. The second two hours were spent in Getsemani. This trendy neighbourhood has lots of activity and is a good place for street photography. Paola shares many tips and here she also gave us two assignments to help us focus and to teach us to look with a keen eye and from different angles. My sister and I did this tour with Paola on a Saturday and we can recommend it to any person interested in photography.

5.00Jason was a fantastic host and made the tour very memorable. The market is an amazing place and could become overwhelming, but with Jason everything was approached with a sense of calm which helped the focus remain on the experience. His photography knowledge is obviously spot on and I also learnt a great deal from him. I would highly recommend the tour for those who have a passion for real life photography and real life experiences.

5.00My second tour with Paola, and it did not disappoint! This tour offers a deep cultural dive into the Mercado de Bazurto. Paola has an amazing rapport with the locals which will enable you to achieve your best shots. Additionally, she willingly shares her expertise in order to raise yours. This is a fantastic way to experience the cuisine and culture of the area. Bottom line, this is a must do tour in Cartagena.

5.00Cartagena is a beautiful city that has so much to offer and Paola's photography tour is definitely a great way to experience it from a different perspective and better yet you get to bring your great photos with you! I am a amateur photographer wanting to expand/explore more on the "technical" side and Paola was able to break it down for my level. I really enjoy the 2-3 hour tour, it did encourage me to take my photography to the next level. Thanks Paola!
