What To Expect

On our morning journey we will head out by boat in search of different types of marine life. Our main objective is to spot and see the variety types of dolphins that we have here. During the trip we also have high chances of seeing sea turtles. In certain times of the year we have very high possibility of spotting mantarays and even breaching humpback whales ! During the navigation our captain will be explaining key information and fun facts about the beaches here in Puerto Escondido.

We went on two tours: dolphins and mangroves+bio. It was great everything, starting with Eli’s advice in the care module, the logistics team very punctual and with excellent communication. The wonderful tours, in the one of dolphins we saw whales, turtles, sharks and we could swim with the dolphins, the one of bioluminescence was like traveling to the stars.

10000/10 highly recommended to do the tours with Puerto Journeys, my family and I took apart the Ventanilla, Mazunte, Zipolite and the bioluminescence and we all loved, apart from the patience, kindness and good explanation of our guides. Do not hesitate to book with them!

A beautiful display of natural beauty, our tour took us from the coast of Puerto Escondido to the deeper waters where our favorite marine creatures were found. Our tour began with a fast ride towards a reported orca sighting, where we had the pleasure of watching these majestic creatures come up for air. We continued along, coming across and swimming with a pod of dolphins, who we then followed in our vessel for half-an-hour— calling it a pod hundreds strong doesn’t do it justice. We finished our journey with the sighting of many humpback whales, magnificent creatures. Our trifecta of sightings was rare, but the possibility of this experience happening relied solely on our guide, Omar. Omar had both the skills to maneuver us quickly towards our destinations, and the knowledge to educated us along the way. We could not have asked for a better experience and man to guide us through it, and for that: 5 stars.

An absolutely AMAZING trip! Jaziel at the little office in the ‘mainstreet’ of Punta was super friendly and helpful, we booked this boat tour for the next day. Early start, pickup was at 6:30PM, short drive and then…… our captain Omar, be sure to request him(!), extremely knowledgeable on all things see/animals. We saw a family of whales (yes which made me tear up a bit ;-), see turtles and ofcourse dolphins! Really really really would recommend this trip!!! So much so, we booked another trip with Jaziel the next day (bioluminescence)…

This is by far the best tour we have ever been on! Everyone was on time, helpful, and happy! We say humpback whales, thousands (literally) of dolphins, plus turtles. We were in awe!

It was a really great experience. It’s not certain that you can see the dolfins, but we saw many of them. And different species. Our guide did a marvellous thing finding them. He also spotted every turtle. We had a great time!
