Our first stop is the famous Barrack Obama Plaza, a must-visit landmark in Ireland. This isn’t just any service station—it’s THE service station, built in honor of former U.S. President Barack Obama, whose ancestors hailed from nearby Moneygall. Here, you can grab a quick bite, stock up on snacks, or snap a selfie with the Obama statue before continuing your adventure. Don’t miss the quirky Conan O’Brien Air Pump, named after the legendary talk show host following his visit!
Upon departing Barrack Obama Plaza the coach will drive past the ancient cities of Limerick and Ennis as-well as drive for a brief few moments underneath the widest and longest river in all Ireland; the majestic River Shannon. Shortly after the Shannon we will past by Bunratty Castle and begin to traverse the winding roads of County Clare, home of the Cliffs of Moher. Ennistymon is a rite of passage for anyone taking a coach tour to the Cliffs of Moher for it is home to the dreaded ‘Kissing Corner of Ennistymon’ known across the west of Ireland for the difficulty some drivers have with navigating one of the tightest turns in the entire island! With our drivers however you will see what a real professional driver can do as they’ll sail right through no matter the conditions. Make sure to hold your breath and don’t forget to applaud your driver when they take you around this turn towards adventure.
Reserved seating: Reserve seats within the first 3 front rows of the coach. Left and right hand side
Cliffs of Moher tour open seat: Choose this option for open seating on the coach. Seats are allocated based on the order of arrival.

Incredible experience! And our tour guide and bus driver (Peter and Thomas) were amazing. Peter had a wealth of knowledge about Ireland and we really enjoyed learning more about Ireland throughout the tour.

Wonderful and full of all the magic of Moher and Galway. Wish there was more time to explore Galway but we had to get back to Dub.

Completely chaotic start. Recommendations to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of 6:45 am start not sufficient to navigate the insanity. The tour company hires buses … so not immediately obvious you’re in the right spot. Upon reading the electronic display near the door … you then discover that there isn’t just ONE bus and guide … rather a fleet of buses from tour company all lined up, going different places, but even at 6:35 am VERY FULL. You and the hundreds of other tourists them begin fighting for line position as another bus pulls into the fray. I watched couples being separated upon boarding (see if someone back there might trade with you), fellow tourists whom I was to spend the next 13 or so hours alongside being fully rude and inconsiderate when asked to allow a couple with a small child to board first. I was reassured by the guide that this would be the worst part of our journey. Unfortunately that was waiting at the very first stop on the tour … an overcrowded convenience center where there wasn’t enough time to get a coffee … much less grab a pic with the Barack Obama statue (unfortunately, the primary reason we selected THIS tour experience verses going with another company that I’d originally booked). The views … and time … that followed at the Cliffs of Moher redeemed the tour, as did the endearing and knowledgeable guide. The coach driver was AMAZING, navigating us through tight spots and super busy areas. We also appreciated the suggestion to pack a picnic lunch. Tour operators should add to that NOT to purchase coffee at the first stop (it was TERRIBLE after waiting our entire 20 minutes to obtain it!) and a warning to unsuspecting tourists of how to navigate there ‘first come first serve’ seating, and I’d give 4 stars for the day. I’d recommend hiring a car and making the drive on your own schedule to anyone following behind me.
