5.00My wife and I had the best days craic with Donal. Very informative tour but also went to some amazing pubs serving some of the best Guinness I’ve ever had. We ended up staying on late at the last pub and sat and listened to the amazing artists and traditional music, whilst laughing and enjoying Donal and the locals craic. I would highly recommend Donal and his tour. Fantastic, thanks again Donal!

5.00The experience was so good and well run. Our guide Donell was a super fun guy, very personable, easy to get to know and he took us to some great out of the way local pubs as our group was small. He had some very interesting stories and shared history. I would 100% recommend for other travellers.

5.00Donal is the man! If you want an authentically Irish tour of Dublin you NEED to go with Donal. He brought us to three pubs off the beaten path and did an excellent job of weaving historical facts and landmarks into the tour. If you ask nicely, Donal might even sing a tune for you. Donal is great for all crowds, on our tour we had 3 Americans and 4 Dutch. We all had the best time. Don’t hesitate book now!

3.00We had a fun evening and our guide was a really lovely guy - it felt like grabbing a drink with a local friend. However, I want to share that the tour wasn't as history-forward as the description suggested. It seemed like our guide might have been a bit tired from a previous tour, as we had to prompt him quite a bit for any historical stories or local lore. We also didn't get to do the 'pouring experience' or hear of some historic pubs like The Confession Box that were mentioned in the highlights This is a great choice if you just want a friendly 'local bud' to show you some of his fave bars, but if you're looking for the deep historical dive or the specific activities listed in the description, it might not be the right fit

5.00Tomas was a wonderful guide. We walked about several pubs, enjoyed pints, learnt to pour a perfect pint and made new friends. Highly recommend while you are visiting Dublin.

5.00What a great time we had with Donal of My Journal Ireland. Donal made this experience extremely memorable. He was knowledgeable, friendly personable and fun. We spent the afternoon drinking pints, smiling, laughing and listening to wonderful stories. We felt the warm, welcoming spirits of many locals as we crawled the local pubs with Donal. We visited about 4 pubs and were surprised to see a comedy show too! It was one of the most hilarious and enjoyable sets, on the 2nd floor of Ha'Penny. The Guinness was flowing and so were the laughs. Donal, my wife and I appreciate the time spent with you. This was the highlight of our trip. It was an experience that was better than we ever expected. Next time we're in town, we will have some more pints!!! I'm glad we didn't let this tour pass us by. "What's meant for you won't pass you by."
