2.00Noel is a nice guy, however our mural tour was not great. He started the tour stating he had not done it in a few years. As we proceeded through Sint Maarten, it was obvious to him and ourselves that there were few murals left after the last hurricane. Noel had no information on any of the few murals we saw, neither the artist nor the interpretation. Noel spent a fair bit of time on the phone, doing business. Half-way through our tour, he dropped us off downtown for an hour, pointing in the general direction of an alley, saying to go look there for murals. He had an appointment. When he dropped us off he mentioned that he should take the tour off of viator. We would agree. We talked to viator about the possibility of a partial refund as we did not get what was advertised or what we were looking for. Noel said no. To me, that suggests someone who is not fair. Had he agreed to refund partially, I would value his integrity and use him as a taxi if I returned. I won’t do that now. There is yet another aspect to this. Our original scheduled tour date was moved bc he forgot to pick us up. It took viator two days to finally arrange another date. We had to pivot and rearrange our schedule to accommodate his poor communication.

5.00The murals of phillipsburg are lovely and our guide Wern did a great job explaining the murals and answering other questions about St Maarten as we walked. We would not have found most of these without his assistance and certainly wouldn’t have been able to interpret and understand them without his help. We would definitely recommend this tour to others visiting the island.

1.00I am unable to review this tour because the driver never showed up, even though we waited almost an hour. I was issued a refund immediately, which was great. The company was very apologetic and made no hassle in reimbursing me. The driver also offered us a free airport transport on our last day. We didn’t need it because we already pre-paid airport service via our airline.
