• We had a driver, not a guide

  On the positive side, our driver went out of his way to find us in the morning, as we were waiting at the wrong pick up spot. On our way to the first destination, I asked the driver if Portugal had paid medical care, paid education, government pensions. He answered my questions with either a yes, or no. At no time did he take the opportunity to expand on the social situation in his native country. There is an upcoming election in the country, which was only mentionned in passing. We passed orange, olive and pomegranite trees. He pointed these out, but didn't expand upon the benefit to the Portugal economy, or the growing conditions or challenges. We didn't learn about irrigation for agriculture, or about livestock in the country. Also, he made note of the different car dealerships, a cement factory, but not what these added to the Portuguese people. At each of our 4 stops, we were only told where the shopping was located. It would have been nice to know the importance of each city/town to Portugal, as well as some basic history. While driving through Albufiera, I had to ask if we were in the New Town strip area. I felt that we had only a driver, not a tour guide. As it was our first time in Portugal, I would have preferred to learn more about how people lived on a day-to-day basis, and what was important to them.

  Excellent day, great driver, but I would arrange my own lunch the next time. Unfortunately some of the shops were closed for lunch.

  Wow Johnny our tour guide you are an absolute mine of information Your delivery is made even more charming with your quick Witt and ability to make even a tree stand out!!! We missed nothing. , history, economics, archeological, architecture industry as well as the subtle differences between regions and culture Many thanks for a fascinating day trip Also to the staff at the canteens! The food was tasty and well presented, not to mention fresh

  I got an email at 10:32 pm that my morning trip next day was canceled. Such a late notification did not give me a chance to book another trip. It was totally unprofessional.

  Trip was cancelled at 8:00 pm the night before the tour. This gave us no time to plan another tour!!

  The guide/ driver was very nice. I learned some new information about portugal history. Personally for me the suggested restaurant was below average. - had chips and i think it was half a chicken however I would have preferred a smaller quantity with better quality. No one finished there food - even though it meant to be suggested I felt like you had no choice but to go with it as the Drive asked us to choose what we want to eat from the options we we’re given hours before lunch time so that he could let the restaurant know in advance I think we would have probably enjoyed it more if there were no rain as well.

  Great tour with a small group. Pick- up was ar the hotel and perfectly on time. Johnny the driver gave us a lot of interesting information and is a funny and very friendly person. The restaurant that was recommended for lunch was really good and worth the money. I recommend this tour to everyone that wants to see different places in one day.
