The Tourist Industry, businesses and local people have all got together to assist in making this area “Bicycle Friendly”, making it the activity and cycling centre of Ireland. Vendor was a NO-SHOW. After confirming twice I showed up at the shop, waited 25 minutes and phoned the number twice. Never answered, never showed up. Fortunately Westport Bike Hire was just down the road and they rented us great bikes.

The vender was a NO SHOW. Repeated attempts to contact. Fortunately was able ro hire an excellent e-bike from Westport Cycles and had nice ride along trail. Newport to Westport section is not well marked and much on the busy road.

We managed a short ride from Westport to Newport mainly off road, totally safe for the inexperienced cyclist or beginner. We also cycled an additional loop along quiet roads. We're already planning on cycling to Achill Island next time.

Paul was outstanding in helping us to manage to fit in our first E bike experience after a long car trek from the North . He made sure we were comfortable with our bikes , started us off in a area free from construction and gave us excellent guidance on distance , sights and breaks. With our bikes on turbo, we were able to easily navigate rain and strong winds on our paths . Lovely restaurant - McLoughlins in Mulhanny for a warm drink and bite to eat. With Paul’s support and extra attention to customer service , it was a high point of our trip to Ireland . Love the Mayo Greenway !
