A unique and personalised tasting which offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a more in depth tasting with an exclusive look at the history and heritage of Elderton Wines. Visit the 120+ year old Command vineyard that the Ashmead family worked tirelessly to restore and save from destruction, taste many of the elite wines in our range alongside back vintage examples in our Private Tasting Room with a selection of locally crafted cheeses.

What a day! We popped in to visit a friend’s winery and left feeling like we’d won the wine lottery 🍷 Cameron, the owner, took the time to show us around, share his stories, and pour some truly exceptional wines (generously, we might add!). It’s not every day you get to enjoy world-class wine with the person who made it, and we savoured every sip. Great wine, great company, and memories we’ll be toasting to for a long time.

Fabulous wine tasting experience. The staff are friendly and knowlegeable but the real stars are the cellar door itself, and most of all the wines.

We really enjoyed the wine tasting, walked from the caravan park to the beautiful cellar door & gardens. Our host was lovely, wines & cheese platter excellent. Recommend a visit.

So much to like about this visit. A grand manor set amongst a gorgeous garden set amongst the vines. Our host was informative, cheerful and generous as we did the upgraded tasting experience (well worth doing), and the wines! The wines were the best we tasted on our visit. Thanks to all

Elderton is an icon of the Barossa and the wines are truly spectacular. The cellar door staff are great and we were also fortunate enough to meet Alistair too. A top notch experience.

Felt a warm welcome when entering the homestead which was beautiful maintained. Had a delightful wine tasting. Not rushed. Wine was lovely. Server asked us what types of wines we liked and told us all about the wines we tasted. Highly recommend a tasting.

Our host from Elderton was Caroline, she had a vast knowledge of the Barossa wine valley, so we were very happy to as our Guide and host. She did a wonderful job of entertaining us with the Barossa history on the walking tour of the vineyard. When we reached the tasting room all the wines were laid out and the knowledge of hers just blossomed even more, it was a pleasure to take our time with the tasting as well as enjoying the delightful cheese board.
