Augi is the best guide and this is an astonishing tour! We wanted the quickest way to get to sand dunes in the Gobi Desert from Ulaanbaatar due to our tight schedule and we were there within half a day’s drive. I handed Augi my camera and he got this incredible shot of us on the camels. We stayed with a kind family of nomads and even got to play the traditional game with the father of the family. The next day, Augi surprised us with a very detailed visit to the stunningly picturesque ruins of a monastery in the mountains. It was hauntingly beautiful, especially with his vivid storytelling and explanation. Then he took us on a thorough tour of Erdene Zuu monastery and a visit to the Kharkhorum Museum, which was fascinating. All along the way, he was prompt and clear in communications, highly responsive to our needs, very understanding and supportive of my desire to get the best photos, and skilled at knowing how much information to deliver to make each site come alive. I could not have dreamed for a better experience, and so I hired him right away for a second tour to visit a shaman in Ulaanbaatar at the end of our stay. All in all, I highly recommend this trip!
