The Viking Museum
In the vivid exhibition you will meet the Vikings through movies, scenery, projections and sound effects as well as archaeological objects. Knowledgeable guides in Viking gear will answer all your questions and the many replicas let you explore life as a Viking with all your senses. You will learn about the Viking raids, journeys and mastery in ship building as well as the everyday life at the farm. The Norse mythology is present everywhere and here myth meets truth. Ragnfrid’s saga is a Viking ride where you get to follow along on a trip to the Viking Age. The journey begins at Frösala Farm with Ragnfrid and her husband Harald. Then you proceed to go on a journey where you witness plundering in the west and slave trade in the east. With sounds, light and atmospheric environments you travel through the 11-minute journey that is told by Ragnfrid herself.

Deep and broad meaning! World class! Brings history to life with emotional connection to Sweden’s (Vikings) history and culture! Thanks.

It was great. There is something for every age and we have learned a lot. We especially liked the ride at the end of the museum. A great visit and definitely recommended.

Fantastic museum and the best I've been to! The museum has created a fantastic range, with dedicated guides and interesting exhibition that is for adults as well as children. Warm recommendation to go there!

This was a small, but fun museum. Probably better for smaller children. Teenagers found it a little cheesy.

The 2 meter tall Viking guide was the highlight. Very knowledgeable, very funny man. He was the highlight. The rest was OK but lacked something. Maybe I had been spoiled at Basa!

Today we visited the Viking museum and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend listening to a tour guide which really helps to understand the exhibits better, plus they’re really knowledgeable and entertaining. If you get a chance to eat in the restaurant do. It’s beautifully decorated for Christmas and has a great menu for reasonable prices.

Visited Viking museum today for the Christmas market and also went on the theme story ”the creation story” in Norse mythology and the storyteller Jessica was amazing. Very immersive and knowledgeable. It did not matter at all that time ran out because you were captivated by the content. Also good food in the restaurant Fire 🔥. Takk Lighthouse
