In this walk food tour we will passing through 5 different spots, taste and understand the roots of local gastronomy.You will taste regional delicacies like a fresh muffin associated with the village name, savory classics in a local restaurant, visiting fresh market, taste the freshest seafood & toast with a nectar of gods.

After meeting your private guide, start the tour with a rich coffee and an "ouriço" (regional pastry delicacy) and understand the cultural importance of coffees in the early 20th century and and the connection of pastry with convents.

Outstanding Tour with Angelo — One of the Best Experiences in Portugal

5.00Angelo was warm, thoughtful, incredibly knowledgeable, and spoke perfect English. He taught us so much — not just about Ericeira, but about Portugal as a whole. We learned about the area’s history, culture, food, wine, and local traditions in a way that felt personal, engaging, and authentic. Ericeira itself is a gorgeous town with an amazing vibe. It reminded me of Southern California in the 1970s and 80s, like visiting Pismo Beach — relaxed, beautiful, full of character, and filled with great local spots. Angelo showed us hidden gems we never would have found on our own, including places locals actually go, and that made the experience even more memorable. This tour was far more than just a food tour — it gave us a deeper appreciation for Ericeira and made our entire trip there better. Angelo has such a beautiful approach as a guide: welcoming, insightful, generous with his knowledge, and clearly proud of sharing the best of his town and country. My wife and I had a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area — even if you are staying in Lisbon, it is absolutely worth making the trip. We wish Angelo all the best and are very grateful for such an incredible day.

The conversation was great, and it made for such a fun and memorable day. A wonderful experience all around! I can not recommend this tour enough.

5.00Angelo was a fantastic guide. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the culture, food and history. He took the time to ask us what we wanted to do or see and organized the tour around our interests. Angelo lead us all around Ericeira, off the beaten path and through the small streets where we could experience the true culture of the small town. We also got to enjoy authentic Portuguese food (and wine) at all of the restaurants. His insight and choice of places to show us demonstrated his passion for his country and his culture. He even gave us suggestions of places and restaurants to go to during our travels to Lisbon, Sintra and Porto! We couldn’t be more pleased with our tour and all of what we had the opportunity to experience. Well worth our time!!

5.00Just go to Ericeira and do this tour. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The old town is charmingly beautiful but what makes this so special is Ângelo. He is simply wonderful - genuinely passionate, vastly knowledgable, and a superb guide. He gave us a real insight into the history and character of the town, as well as providing us with the most delicious array of tastings. Ângelo also gave us many recommendations for places to visit, stay and eat at. He went above and beyond.

5.00What a wonderful experience with Angelo. He guided us through Ericeira, a beautiful fisherman village near Lisbon. Angelo selected the most delicious places and made us feel like locals! The food and drinks were so, delicious. He shared also great history with us about all the places we passed. Our time with Angelo was a highlight of our 2 weeks in Portugal and I highly recommend spending time with him. i will never forget this foodtour, the places, the food and all the historical knowledge about Ericeira. 5.00Angelo was incredible! His passion for food and Ericeira were so evident - his desire to make sure we loved it all, as well! Our tastings were very tasty but more importantly, they were steeped in Ericeira tradition and culture. We experienced a "grilled fish in a fisherman's club that exceeded any expectation- and the abundance of treats...wow! Angelo was also excellent with his English and good conversation. A highlight of our trip, for sure! Angelo then followed up with details of our stops and tastings - and advice for what to do in other parts of Portugal! Huge thank you to Angelo.
