In the Miraflores visitor center, you will be able to observe the passage of the ships through the locks and learn about the operation of the Panama Canal. You will also have the opportunity to capture that great moment. The Panama Canal presents a 3D movie on the IMAX screen. Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador)

1.00The tour guide who was supposed to do our tour, Jose, handed us off to someone else last minute. He got in contact with us through What's App, which I was unaware of until the morning of the tour. It was to start at 8 am. We waited until 8:30 and no one from Viator showed up so we paid another guide and are waiting to be reimbursed by Viator.

5.00We did a customized tour with Gabriel Morales and he was excellent. He contacted me in advance to confirm, drove us to the canal and other sites adjusting on the fly due to road closures and a parade. Had cold water for us and was fun and engaging. Dropped us back at the airport perfectly in time for our flight. Highly recommend him as a guide!

Gabriel ensured that we enjoyed ourselves and made sure that we felt safe and comfortable. I highly recommend taking this tour. Well worth the money.

5.00My driver, Diener, scheduled a relaxed, but productive day for me. I highly recommend him as a guide. He was able to navigate Panama City efficiently. His English is perfect. It was a little difficult to connect with Diener at the cruise terminal because he was not allowed to wait right at curbside like all the taxis. He kept in touch by text and eventually he was allowed to pick me up curbside since I have difficulty walking. Diener asked how I wanted to spend my day and I explained that I was only interested in photographing architecture. We discussed what type of architecture appealed to me and off we headed to the Bio Museum for some quick exterior photographs. We were headed to the old part of town, but traffic was extremely heavy. Diener pivoted and took me to Balboa Avenue instead. That was an inspired decision. Diener understood exactly what I was looking for and parked by a few very interesting buildings. Diener was always very courteous and opened my car door. He either stayed with the car and moved it as I ventured forth or walked near me for my safety. Diener suggested buildings for me to photograph, but I was always able to suggest where to stop as well. Although there was on and off light rain, I was able to capture many exhibition-worthy images. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4-hour tour with Diener. I will certainly schedule with him through Viator if I travel to Panama City again. Traffic for our return to the ship was quite heavy even though it was early afternoon. Diener did not complain about the extra 15-25 minutes it added to his day. We returned to the port with plenty of time to spare to meet my required return-to-ship time.
