What To Expect
Take a scenic drive out of town through the valley of Calhau, to one of São Vicente s extinct volcanoes! Viana volcano, 14 kilometers southeast of the capital of the island Mindelo altitude 163 meters, located 3 kilometers south of Calhau. Walkalong the desert landscape to Viana, you will climb along the path of volcanic rocks to the crater! What a breathtaking view inside and around the crater, overlooking the villageas well as the island of Santo Antao, Santa Luzia, São Nicolau and the brancoand raso islets which can be seen in the near distance on a clear day.

5.00We took two tours (Viana and the Island tour) with Green Line Tours and found both to be exceptional. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible, and the prices were very reasonable. Paulo, the founder, took us on this volcano walk and provided us with a memorable morning. The island tour gave us the chance to see beyond Mindeolo and get a better understanding of the islands.

4.00Very happy with the team that day (Paul & Danny). Interesting walk up the volcano and into the crater, not too difficult for 60+... Only criticism on this tours is that 70 euro per person was too high compared with the other tours we made.
