Spirited Garden
Welcome to the ticket office of Spirited Garden(생각하는정원). Upon entering, you will have the opportunity to explore one of the Top 10 Gardens in the World. Spirited Garden spans 12,000 pyeong (approximately 40,000 square meters) and features seven themed sub-gardens along with various auxiliary facilities. The garden showcases Korea’s native garden trees and bonsai, as well as unique rock formations and ornamental stones. Each sub-garden includes clear ponds, spacious lawns, and small hills (oreum), surrounded by stone walls, gates, and bridges crafted from volcanic basalt, creating a serene and harmonious atmosphere. The auxiliary facilities are architectural structures made from natural volcanic stone, offering a glimpse into the aesthetic beauty of Jeju's natural landscape and architectural philosophy.

A calm and peaceful garden focussed on trees and bonsai. Nice landscaping with waterfalls and pools with lots of koi carp but not the place to visit if you're seeking planting and flowers. The bonsai in particular are impressive, especially the fruit trees. However, it's pretty small and the 15,000W entry fee high. We weren't in there much more than 30 mins.

Great meditative environment. Awesome work with bonsai trees. Worth the stop if you are in Jeju island in Korea. Plan enough time to wander through the whole park.

Cheap and a very pleasant garden, the chairman of the garden came by and spoke with us about his experiences and who has visited the garden.

We had thought of trekking but unfortunately the weather did not grace us, so we reorganized the day to make various visits. This place was a pleasant discovery: in other places you can find many more bonsai trees but the attention to every detail and the atmosphere you live inside the path are really worth it, in addition to the fact that the owner still goes around the park greeting tourists affectionately. Tips: it is possible to take really beautiful photos inside the pond surrounded by carp and waterfalls. Very recommended. (At some time of the year I think they organize bonsai-themed exhibitions with live demonstrations .. it might be interesting to find out!)

A beautiful garden area which is the lovechild of the famous Bum-young Sung who was there in the information center on my visit. We were lucky enough to meet him. The garden is a blend of pond, bonsai, sculpture, tropical plants and a beautiful waterfall. The pond houses a wealth of carp which can be fed for a small fee. Books are for sale as well as souvenirs, and a cafe is near the entrance. Plenty of information about how the area has developed over the years is available as well as a stunning viewpoint to oversee the whole place Free to park but ticketed entrance. Would recommend a visit if you're passing.

Beautiful garden and very peaceful, clearly a lot of thought and care has gone into designing and maintaining it. We met the Chairmen, Sung Bum-Young, at the lookout tower. He is a very kind and gentle old man, who has clearly dedicated a large part of his life to the Spirited Garden. It is very sweet. I wrote this review for him.

This place was so tranquil, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so lovely to walk through the garden and appreciate both its beauty and the skill it takes to cultivate such a place. There’s also a cute cafe there with a great view of the garden and ponds where you can feed koi fish. 10/10 would recommend.
