Very professional crew. The heated yurts made the experience comfortable despite the cold, and we were lucky to witness a great aurora show. Highly recommended.

Of course the tour company and guides have no real control over the Aurora, but they certainly do what they can to ensure the best possible experience for us! We went on two consecutive nights and I have to think they were two of the best nights of the season. Mike and Ben were constantly checking apps that provided the latest information on conditions and they were able to educate us on what has to happen in order for the northern lights to appear. We were with them for hours, either outside watching (and you knew when to go outside because the excited yells would start), or inside the heated yurt (a necessity!). Their passion for this activity was very apparent and it rubbed off on all of us! They were very personable and available to answer questions the whole night. They took lots of pictures of the Aurora and of us to share with us which added to the experience. I can't recommend this tour enough ... as long as the conditions are favorable and I believe they have other tours for when they aren't.

This was the highlight of our trip! We loved the small group and the viewing options. Mike and Ben were great. 1st class all around. We recommend to everyone!

It’s an amazing experience that one should try in their lifetime. Ben did a wonderful job taking us to the place to see and experience the northern lights.

A very good performance of aurora show, so spectacular. Good photos showing both the person and the lights. The guide's prediction tools (various sources and good interpretation) are very professional.

We booked an aurora chasing tour in Fairbanks, but the weather just didn't cooperate during our short stay(<3 nights). From the start, the team was incredibly transparent about the forecast. Mike gave us updates in a timely manner with details provided. They went out of their way to try rescheduling our tour to give us the best possible shot, even though it ultimately didn't work out because of our schedule. Their genuine care and flexibility made what could have been a disappointing experience feel positive and thoughtful instead. Highly recommend them for their aurora expertise, especially their exceptional kindness. Thank you for making our trip memorable in the best way. We'll definitely visit again and book a tour with them next time!

We received a phone call at 3PM on the date of the excursion from Jacob that our best chance to see lights was that very night. Shaggy/Mike picked us up at 9PM along with another couple from another hotel. He had a camera and tripod and knew the best settings and places to pull off the road. We had luck the very first time as early as 9:40PM! The lights for us weren't easy to see with the naked eye but when he worked his magic on the camera, there they were! We went to several other spots "chasing" (hint: look for stars!) and found other locations with better views. In the end, we were dropped off at our hotel at 3AM and a link with all of our photos was sent within 2 days. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of this tour operator! It checked off one of my priority bucket list items and I would book this again!

Had a great time seeing the lights! Ben was our guide - very energetic and took lots of great photos. Loved that the groups were small and that they give you a call the day of to go over the forecast with you. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience with Mike and Greatland Adventures! I 100% recommend booking with Greatland Adventures for their Northern Lights Tour. Mike went above and beyond to make our experience a truly once in a lifetime trip. He’s very knowledgeable and my Dad loved talking science with him. We went out 3 nights with Mike and truly chased the lights! Rather than only having a few home bases to view the sky from, this tour also takes you on the road to reach the clear skies which is important if it’s cloudy. Mike tried his best on our first night, but the cloud coverage was not cooperating. On our second and third nights we spent some time in their warm and cozy cabin and yurts. We had success on our second AND third nights!! His team was very transparent in explaining the chances of seeing the northern lights based on their weather and Aurora forecasts. JUST BOOK THIS TOUR!!
