Your journey starts with a pick-up from your hotel or meeting at our office. We'll make sure you're bundled up in warm winter gear since it can get really cold (-30°C!). Then, we'll head out, away from Rovaniemi to chase the Northern Lights. We'll take you to the private location, which is a perfect place where you have the best chance to see the Northern Lights. During the tour, you'll get to explore the stunning Lapland wilderness, with snowy forests. And if we're lucky, we might see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky! We'll take a break halfway through and warm up by a campfire in our tipi. You will have a chance to enjoy delicious grilled sausages, hot drinks, and some sweets while your guide keeps an eye on the sky. It's also the perfect time to ask questions about Lapland and the Northern Lights. Feel free to bring your camera, and if you need one, we can help with a tripod. This was a total Rip Off. All we did was drive around Rovaniemi. Walk through a forest AND the ONLY light we saw was the firelight inside a tepee. What a waste of time and money. PLEASE BOOK WITH SOMEONE ELSE - who is prepared to drive out of town to show you the lights.

This was a total waste of time and money. It was not a northern lights tour but a forest tour. Total rip off. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK!!!! Try other providers. All we did was drive around Rovaniemi, walked through a forest tour to a tepee where the INLY light we saw was the firelight inside. What a waste of three hours. Shame on you Wild About Lapland!!😖

We had the best evening out watching the Northern Lights with our tour guide Lola. Memories of a lifetime! We were brought to an amazing area which was about 45mins outside of Rovaniemi. We had more than enough time to watch the Northern Lights. We toasted marshmallows and were offered to cook sausages too! Lola was amazing with the kids and gave us loads of information. Thank you!

We made a last minute decision to book this tour a few hours in advance on Christmas night as it was our last night in Lapland and we hadn’t yet seen the northern lights. I was hesitant as the activity forecast wasn’t high but I’m so glad we took a chance as we had a brilliant time. Our tour guide Atanas took us to a remote location on a lake and we were able to see the northern nights as soon as we got there. Atanas took some professional photos for us even though photography wasn’t included with this tour. My children are aged 9 and 11 and loved hearing Atanas explain how the auroras occur and he showed them how to make fire using flint. They enjoyed hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows in the warm tipi while learning about Finnish traditions and telling stories. They went sledding on the snow at the location. This tour was a highlight of our trip and would have been fun even if we weren’t lucky enough to see the northern lights. Thank you Wild about Lapland

Incredible aurora hunting experience from Rovaniemi. We booked a private tour for more freedom and the best surprise was our guide Jeremy. This guide was fantastic to explain the peculiarities of the region, the Northern Lights phenomenon and many other exciting information about Finland. And the highlight of the show was the appearance of magnificent aurora borealis! Thank you Wild About Lapland for this unforgettable experience but especially Jeremy that I absolutely recommend!

We had such a magical time. It was peaceful, private and although we didn't see the northern lights due to the cloud cover, our wonderful guide, Remi made it very special for us. Our kids loved making a snowman and cooking sausages and marshmellows on the fire. Other than meeting Santa, it was the highlight of our trip. Thanks again Remi.

Even though we didn’t see the lights we had an amazing time ! The night we went on our trip it was snowing with complete cloud cover so we knew setting out that it was unlikely we would see much . Our Spanish guide ( so sorry we forgot your name ) was so lovely and really entertained us ( especially our 7 year old ). We had a great time climbing and sliding down a huge hill . Afterwards it was into the yurt for sausages and marshmallows on the fire. It was a small group and we all had a great time !

Alberto was our guide. It was cloudy and we were about to cancel the tour, but we thought it was worth trying. Alberto drove us to the teepee in the middle of nowhere, tought the children how to light a fire with flint, and played with them in the snow for more than an hour making a snow slide on the nearby embankment. We tasted Finnish sausages cooked on the open fire, and of course some marshmallows. Alberto was telling us a lot about plants, reindeer and Finnish culture. We didn't see northern lights but had a lovely evening anyway thanks to Alberto's ability to adapt.

Unfortunately, this tour was very disappointing. Based on weather forecasts showing heavy cloud cover and snow, it was clear in advance that there was little to no chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Despite this, the tour still went ahead with no offer of a refund, reschedule, or even a partial discount. I would like to emphasise that our guide, Hannah, was professional, friendly, and did her best throughout the evening — this is absolutely not a reflection on her efforts. The disappointment lies solely with the organisation’s decision to proceed under conditions where the main attraction was extremely unlikely to be visible. The lack of flexibility or customer consideration felt unfair and left us feeling taken advantage of. I would not recommend this tour unless you are comfortable paying full price despite very low chances of the advertised experience occurring.
