Embark on an unforgettable experience and explore the Atlantic Ocean in search of Cetaceans. Enjoy wonderful interactions with dolphins, such as Tursiops truncatus, Delphinus delphis, or even Orcas Orcinus orca and whales, as well as the rest of marine life. Watching cetaceans in Portugal is a regulated activity. So, know that all behaviors and rules are for the safety and well-being of the animals and people aboard. Learn more about the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a saltwater estuary that functions as a maternity and natural habitat for a large number of species of fauna and flora, when we head to the sea in search of the animals. The experience will be guided by me, Skipper Pudim. Local fisherman, from a family of Faro fishermen. With a whole life spent at sea and in Ria Formosa. Passionate about wildlife in general and Ria Formosa in particular. Create memories of a lifetime.

Nuno was a complete professional and very friendly and knowledgeable. We went on a morning dolphin tour from Faro Marina through the beautiful channels out to sea. I chose this trip because of Nuno's apparent love and respect for the ocean and the creatures in it, which shone through the whole trip. Nuno didn't go too close to the dolphins, he let them come to the boat and it was such a fabulous sight. I've done the trips from other marinas in the Algarve where this respect is clearly not present, so I'd recommend anyone takes this trip with Nuno. Nuno also gave good advice on how to avoid sea sickness and when I mentioned I had a back problem he positioned me in the best location on the boat to prevent issues, which absolutely worked and I left the trip happy and pain free!

We had a fabulous ‘dolphin & whale spotting’ experience with Nuno last week. He took us to locations where the dolphins could be expected. We were lucky with an incredible and overwhelming amount of dolphins. And 2 whales. I will check if can add pictures as 1 picture tells more than 1000 words. Nuno is very experienced and is treating the dolphins with respect by not coming too close. But by letting them come to the boat. And they did! How nice to be surrounded by these beauties! We also saw 2 braide whales from some distance. Nuno was in close contact with some other boat owners and they share info. What increases the chance to see dolphins and whales. Mariska was concerned about sea sickness but no problem at all! I strongly recommend Nuno and Pudim Real Boat Tours.

Two fantastic trips: Ria Formosa birdwatching; and a whalewatching excursion. No wildlife sighting is guaranteed but the skipper knows the area and it's wildlife intimately. You stand the best chance of seeing target species on these trips. Three Bryde's Whales and lots of dolphins on our trip! Thoroughly recommend and would book again.

We are so glad we booked our dolphin tour with Pudim boat tours! We were fortunate to be the only 4 on the trip, Nuno communicated with me and even contacted me to suggest a morning tour instead of afternoon because of the weather conditions. He was kind enough to start a little later to allow us time to get to Faro. We had such an amazing time, Nuno is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. We firstly found some bottle nose dolphins and spent half an hour with the pod, then we went further out to sea and briefly found some common dolphins before Nuno spotted a Bryde Whale in distance, we saw her come up for air several times which was amazing. On the way back we bumped into the pod of bottle nose dolphins again, Nuno stopped so we could see them again before heading back to Faro. It was definitely the highlight of our holiday here in the Algarve. Our children 20 & 16, both loved being out with Skipper Pudim. We would all highly recommend this tour & will do it again if we return.

Pudim will meet you at the harbour after messaging you via WhatsApp the location and time (as booked). Then we started to go out on the atlantic, not far and we saw our first group of dolphins. We stayed with the group for 30 minutes and then went on to another group of dolphins we spotted 2 km away. In summary perfect experience.

Wonderful morning spent looking for marine life. Our guide was from a local fishing family and couldn’t have been nicer of more knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to just be the two of us (although he never takes a big group) he explained all the species found in and around faro and had a deep respect for the marine life. Once out we were lucky enough to see two types of dolphins. They were hunting so we didn’t get so see them really close but to see them doing what nature intended was just as beautiful. The scenery is wonderful and he took us back fast his home fishing village which was just lovely. Couldn’t recommend more. So much nicer than these over commercialised boat tours you see.
