  I had an amazing fishing day on January 2nd, 2026 in Swakopmund. Willem is an extraordinary guide, truly a number one when it comes to fishing! He knows perfectly where the fish are and will do absolutely everything to help you catch them. Thanks to his experience, we managed to catch dozens of kob, and we even cooked one of them right on the beach! Willem is also an excellent chef: he set up a beach BBQ and cooked not only the fish we caught, but also delicious meat — from sausages to chops and beef. Everything was absolutely fantastic! Until the very end, Willem tried his best to make the dream of the day come true: catching a bronze shark. After trying everything possible, we finally succeeded and caught two bronze sharks, which were immediately released back into the ocean. It was truly a unique experience. And this doesn’t apply only to fishermen like me — my girlfriend, who is not a fisher at all, had an amazing time and absolutely loved the experience. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!

  Willem went above and beyond to get us 2 sharks. One broze and one spoted. It worthed every dollar and more. The ribeye grilled on the beach was the cherry on the tort.

  Absolute NO SHOW and NO Communication. TripAdvisor booking process seemed to ask a very lot of details regards passports etc which I queried with the company. Willem advised he could do the booking direct so was all arranged for September 11th. collection place informed by us and prices.(email proof available if needed.) Once in Namibia we emailed the company the day before trip to advise no communication received about time of collection or location etc? STILL waiting for the reply Up and ready on the morning just in case came knocking but they didn't. They don't deserve the 1 start but it's the least can do

  Amazing 16-day trip to Namibia thoroughly planned by ATR (Africa Travel Resource). Also, during the trip ATR was very helpful resolving a minor issues we have had.   We had an amazing shark fishing experience! The guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable and friendly but also went out of his way to make the day unforgettable. After catching some impressive sharks, he treated us to a fantastic meal—his cooking skills were just as impressive as his fishing expertise. The grilled meat he prepared was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect way to end an exciting day on the water. Highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a fun and unique adventure!

  Perfect experience, the Guide is a very Expert and kind fisherman. We were provided with all the fishing equipment (reel rods and baits ) and also a barbecue with drinks I chose a shark fishing, out of 5 hooked fish I brought 3 to shore (the two unhooked by mistake) Recommendation this experience suitable for experienced and beginner fishermen!   Learn from the best ! I only like to catch edible fish, and am not interested in catching other species. I have done shore angling in Namibia on my own for quite a few years, and have some knowledge of how it's done, or that's what I thought ! I was taken on a fishing trip by Willem and had the best experience of my life. From the start, I was treated with respect and never felt so comfortable and at ease. I was coached and taught, not only how to prepare rod, reel, and bait, but also the best angling spots and how to identify them too. Willem is most helpful and patient, even when you make silly mistakes, and always puts your wishes first. I was amazed at his knowledge and skill, which is obviously obtained from many years of experience. We tried various locations, and everytime Willem pointed out a good fishing spot, we got results ! I caught Galjoen, Blacktail, and Cob, all on his advice and locations he suggested. It was the best fishing experience of my life. I had the privilege to be guided by the best of the best. There will most definitely be a next time ! Thank you and very well done Willem !

  It has been a GREAT EXPERIENCE WIlliam was the best fisherman I could have. It was my first time fishing and he taught us very good. He was respectful at the moment of fishing and at the same time helpful, otherwise I couldn't have taken out from the water an 80k shark
