This was an amazing taste tour of Icelandic whiskey and gin! The host was not only knowledgeable and friendly, but helped us appreciate the various whiskey and gin produced by the distillery. My two favorites are the sheep dung smoked whiskey and the gin. The smoked whiskey is incredible and, I think, that the local water (glacial) made the gin taste spectacular! I'm not a regular gin and tonic drinker, but this was a much different taste experience with their gin. If you enjoy whiskey and gin, please book a taste tour of this distillery to be prepared to be surprised by the exceptional tastes.

While we did not take the tour per se, we did visit the distillery. It's located at the back of the building! Niko greeted us upon entering. He is a model for customer service and such a lovely person! We were there shortly after opening and the only people there. He provided us with an impromptu tasting of several of their products for a reasonable fee. He was a delight and we had an enjoyable conversation. He explained the process, their products, discussed Iceland, its people, history and gave us some tips as tourists. We had a lovely time and stayed maybe 45 minutes. Niko made us want to come back and take the "official" tour but we could not fit it into our schedule on this visit to Iceland. Of course, we brought home some of their beverages!

What better way to celebrate a trip to Iceland than to enjoy a tasting of spirits made with heirloom Icelandic barley and locally sources botanicals. Tasting included a full run of Gins, Brennevin, and a range of whiskeys inspired by Icelandic history and including aging and finishes like Birch, Ale casks sources in collaboration with local breweries, and smoked malts that celebrate the history of the island while offering a surprisingly smooth and complex sip.

Absolutely fantastic tour. Our hosts were so welcoming, funny, and really knowledgeable. It's a small facility (for now), but it has big personality, and we got to taste a wide variety of spirits made by this company. I'm hoping to be able to buy their spirits in the US sooner rather than later:)

We spent almost two hours enjoying an entertaining and informative afternoon tasting the gins and whiskies at the Eimverk Distillery as well as seeing the production facility.

There were only two of us. So we practically had a private tour. Nevertheless, the guide took a lot of time to introduce us to the delicious spirits. And the biggest surprise: The tasting and the tour was even in German. And in excellent German. Thanks again for the great guided tour and tasting!!!

I’ve visited many distilleries so when I saw one in Iceland it was a must see. We were welcomed on arrival with Icelandic gin before our guide and distiller gave us the history of the distillery. Several more samples before shown the actual workings which were the size of a micro brewery. Back do some more samples after our tour. Whilst it is a small scale operation it was great to hear its history and their plans for the future along with some great samples. A must for whisky fans

We had an absolutely great experience! We got to try several gins and whiskeys, all of which were very good. We also got to see where they make the spirits, which was cool to see. Would recommend!
