An entertaining and definitively involved opportunity to learn how to make pizza and gelato, with a decent amount of wine for lubrication. Max explained the ingredients and method for gelato making then lead through the creation of our own variety. Arla and Ti—-? explained, demonstrated, then lead us while we each created our own pizza. We all actually succeeded and our creations were very tasty. One word of caution, getting to the venue involved some walking and steep, uneven stairs.

We’ve done a few cooking classes during our trips to Italy and this one has been the best yet. First, the scenery! It’s a breathtaking view of the Tuscan hillside, and on a beautiful spring evening, it was absolutely perfect. The experience from start to finish felt authentic, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. The chefs were incredible! They were so nice, so funny, and took the time to teach so you can bring home your new skills! Nothing felt rushed or overly structured! Making the pizza was such a highlight! Aris & Tiziano were so funny and remembered EVERYONE’S name! We had so much fun working our dough “babies” and making the pizza! It ended up being some of the best pizza we’ve ever had! Now, the gelato! Max was great, especially since he greeted us with Wine and Beer! But he was so knowledgeable and again, the learning aspect of it was so enjoyable. Learning how it’s made from scratch and then getting to enjoy it fresh was something we’ll be talking about for a long time. If you’re in Florence and considering a cooking class, this is 100% worth it. It’s not just about the food, it’s the entire experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

It was a really fun experience. The team was so energetic and you can feel the love they have for what they are teaching. Leticia was very good as a guide and Gelato instructor. We had 8 flavors of Gelato to make and try. Get ready to sing and dabce with Carmella and Aleccia during your lessons. You should film the pasta-making portion of the class for reference later, because they provided a lot of good little tips. The farm was beautiful and relaxing. You don't need to bring anything with you, except your enthusiasm. The Chianti was free flowing and service was discreetly efficient and very friendly. The age range of the group was from abot 12 years old through 60+, and they made everyone feel included and special through participation.

Similar to many experiences mentioned here, my wife and I cannot but rave about the day we spent learning how to make pasta, sauces and gelato. The presentation was both professional and informal, with lots of wine and laughter. The setting was stunning, a hilltop overlooking a verdant valley and the day moved with military precision, though never felt rushed or time limited. We learned to make three pastas, three sauces and everyone made a different flavor of gelato. This was followed by a 4 course meal to consume it all. Unfortunately, rather than taste each dish, I was compelled to treat each one as a meal unto itself, making the walk back up the hill to the bus more challenging than it needed it to be. Thank you Noemi and Cris and everyone involved in the perfect day! We proudly wear the aprons at home.

We did the pasta and gelato class as a family of 4. Our kids are at the young end for this kind of activity but Aurora and Gloria made sure the class was super fun and engaging for all ages. Our kids said it was the highlight of our Italy trip! The day was so well organised and there was no hanging around or awkward crossover with other groups. The location is gorgeous and not a long road trip at all. It's really well worth the price. Our chefs Gloria and Aurora were so friendly and accommodating and shared great techniques - and the culinary results were truly delicious.

We really enjoyed this experience, a lot of fun, making the pizza & gelato from scratch was enjoyable. The surrounding countryside was lovely, it was a bit of a rainy day but that didn’t really matter. Only thing was we had to climb up & down some quite steep stairs but we managed it. The chefs and staff were very friendly & quite funny

No where else in the world do you get to hang out in the iconic hills and views of the Tuscany countryside while making delicious, fresh pizza and gelato. The hosts were amazing and the experience terrific. 10 out of 10, you need to go on this tour.

Please do not book this experience if you do not have kids, or if you are a couple. This was my least favorite experience in Florence. We showed up with the expectation of learning and cooking. We showed up as one of two couples in the group, with the rest of the groups being families with young children. I understand that there are children in the world, but that does not mean that an event I paid for should be catered to the children of stranger's families. Throughout the class it is was clear that the hosts were only speaking to the children and did not care to hear from us or the other couple in the group. During cooking, they asked for 5 volunteers and chose the stranger's children. We stood there and watched these children prepare the sauce and toppings for everyone else. Now, I am not interested in eating the sauce strange children made. Not only did we miss a big portion of pizza making, I did not want to eat the food (you can imagine my hesitation at using sauce with tomatoes hand squeezed by 8-10 year olds). We paid for the class to learn to cook and were highly disappointed. Not only that, they had to divide the group into parts because there was not room for everyone to make pizza. The couples had to sit to the side while waiting for all of the children to make their food first. With this LISTEN TO THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE GELATO MAN. Max made the experience bad beyond having the event catered to any kids present.

If you are NOT traveling with kids, then do NOT book this trip! When we arrived at the meetup location, we were surprised at how many children were on this tour… needless to say that the company prioritized their experience over ours. The experience includes making your own pizza, which sounds cool in theory but if you don’t want 5-12 year olds putting their hands in the tomato sauce and touching all components of your pizza, then this is not the tour for you. You do not make your own pizza but instead, 5 children volunteers go to the front of the room to prepare the pizza ingredients for everyone. When it came to actually building the pizzas, there were only 4 of us (2 couples without kids) and we were asked to do everything last (because kids first). Also - we’d read reviews of the gelato man (Max) being rude and didn’t think too much of it, but those reviews couldn’t have been more right. He is definitely not someone I’d ever want leading my experience ever again! The pizza makers were funny and tried to get everyone to have a good time and they were the only highlight of our experience. Then again, they were focusing on the children, and gave the impression that they did not want to deal with adult questions, so even our highlight wasn’t great. I think a better idea would be providing two options when booking… one WITH kids and one WITHOUT kids. Note though if you have kids, then they’ll love this trip - all the kids on this experience were screaming and running around and happy the whole time. Unfortunately for the couples, it was a horrible way to spend our last day in the Tuscany region.
