After having learned about the history and cultural significance of cheese fondue in Switzerland (we bet you never heard of the Swiss cheese mafia and their cheese conspiracy) you will learn about the different types of Swiss cheese, taste them paired with nice wines and then use them to make your own cheese fondue from scratch.
Our unique fondue games will make create a fun & competitive bonding spirit.

What To Expect
Switzerland’s national dish fondue has more to it than meets the eye. Apart from being delicious, creamy and full of flavour it has a surprising history, makes for an excellent shared group meal and is heaps to fun to cook from scratch yourself. Fondue Villa’s cheese fondue cooking class combines all these features in one fun, engaging & educative fondue workshop experience. Dress up like a Swiss cheese chef then learn to make your own traditional Swiss cheese fondue from scratch using local Alpine cheeses while learning about the history and cultural significance of this Swiss national dish. Next to making your own fondue, you will play fondue garden games, sample cheese paired with local wines, and learn a lot of fun facts about cheese, fondue and Switzerland.

5.00We did the Taste It Cheese Tour with Julia, who was absolutely lovely—friendly, funny, and incredibly welcoming. She even brought a great selection of dips to enjoy with the cheese fondue. The entire experience was amazing.

5.00This was such a fun afternoon activity! Mitzi (and trainee Tim) were great teachers. I loved learning about the different types of cheeses as well as trying a variety of wine. We had a blast making the fondue. I enjoyed getting to know the others in the small group.

5.00What a great value, my friends, husband and I are traveling in Switzerland and this Fondue experience is one of the highlights of our trip. You begin with a cheese and wine tasting, learning about the different Swiss cheeses and the story of the cows in the mountains for better tasting milk and cheese, followed with the do it yourself Fondue experience. After learning all the secrets to making great fondue you eat a variety of olives, fruit, onions, pickles, tomatoes, cucumbers and yes of course bread. This was a great deal of fun and we highly recommend it.

5.00Absolutely amazing event!!!! The host knew soo much about the wines that she was serving and paired them perfectly with the cheeses. The fondue cooking was awesome and my daughter and I had the best time ever learning all about the cheese, fondue, and wine. Highly recommend this tour, you won't regret it.

5.00My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Mitzi was a charming host who started us off with a lovely wine and cheese tasting - the primary ingredients to fondue. This easy class was a great way to get the history of the area and learn how to make (and then eat) delicious fondue.
