1.00We were very much looking forward to this food tour and were disappointed we couldn’t attend due to a last-minute medical emergency that required taking our son to the ER. While we fully understand policies around reservations—especially during the holiday season—the communication we received afterward felt unnecessarily unkind and lacking compassion. In a stressful situation involving a child’s health, a more understanding and professional response would have gone a long way. I share this not to criticize the tour itself, which may be wonderful, but to offer transparency for other families and travelers. How unexpected emergencies are handled is part of the overall customer experience, and kindness in those moments matters.

1.00BUYER BEWARE I’m disappointed to share this experience, as I never actually had the opportunity to attend the tour due to how my booking was handled. I was able to book the tour as a solo traveler for the following day. After booking, I received a message from the host stating that they do not accept reservations for individual guests. I’m unclear why the booking was allowed in the first place, and no alternative was offered at that time. When I followed up, the response simply repeated that solo reservations are not accepted, though I was later told I could potentially join another group later in the week. Because my schedule was uncertain, I asked about a refund, which was declined. I was also told that my payment had been canceled; however, I did not cancel my reservation and was trying to make the alternative option work. I then sent multiple messages asking for details on how and when to join another group, but never received a response. Ultimately, I lost the money and was unable to attend the tour.

1.00Booked the tour, specifically chose the tour in English, after received an email that the tour is in French and fully booked, they don’t want to refund - don’t book unless you don’t mind which language or which date to go!

Our guide Eli was exceptional: passionate, smiling and full of anecdotes that made the visit even more enjoyable. A beautiful immersion in local culture, which I highly recommend!

5.00We did a private Old Town Nice Food Tour with Alex and absolutely loved it. Alex was a local and shared so many fun little facts about the area’s history and culture, which made the experience even more special. The food was fantastic and offered a great mix of local flavors. Our personal favorites were the truffle shop, the cheese and salami stop, and the candy store. Everything was delicious and felt really authentic. Such great value for money, we’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nice!
