Masada National Park
The impressive fortress of Massada was the last Jewish stronghold to fall to the Romans in 73 AD, a place that symbolizes the exile of the Jews from the Holy Land.
Dead Sea
The Dead Sea or ‘Sea of Salt’ is situated at the lowest point on Earth, 427 meters below sea level. At nearly 35% salinity it is one of the saltiest bodies of water on the planet, creating a harsh environment for animals - making it impossible to live there, hence its name. Its extreme saltiness also means that rather than swimming in the Dead Sea, people float on the surface.

Masada and the Dead Sea were both amazing. We booked the small group tour but it was very expensive. We were shuttled between drivers a couple of times because guests came from Tele Aviv and Jerusalem and had to change buses for return. Next time I would probably take two different much cheaper half day tours.

This was two languages, meaning there were 12 Spanish speakers and us. The guide had to repeat everything in two languages and we couldn’t communicate with most of the group or hear their questions. Not ideal. The guide was knowledgeable, but it just didn’t feel the emotional experience. The Dead Sea experience was great. Kind of unexpected that we had to sit through a sales presentation from a local cosmetic company who made products from Dead Sea, but we enjoyed .it anyway. The lunch stop was also disappointing. . Finally, if we hadn’t called, we would not have been at the right pickup spot. Guess we won’t use these again.

Had a great trip with our guide Jerry. Masada was a very interesting place to visit. The views were amazing. And we really enjoyed our swim in The Dead Sea. It was really nice to be with our small group instead of the large buses that were there.

We visited Matsada and were lucky enough to meet Meni Tzabari, a jovial and knowledgeable guide who tells the history of the place with passion and enthusiasm. If you have the possibility to choose, we recommend asking for Meni, he will involve you during the visit, pushing you to think and observe what surrounds you.

Not only the best, the One! Not only a guide, a Coach! Not only a tour, an Experience! Not only describing, living the History in his heart!

Minivan was packed to capacity. Guide did not have our names on list but after a call, allowed us to squeeze in van. My wife and I were separated during all travel. Won't ever book again due to the discomfort. Guide was terrific and we tipped generously $40 because without him, we never would have been able to join tour. Poor communication and over booking. Buyer beware.

Mini bus for our mini group, meeting 5 minutes from our hotel in a beautiful rain. Crossing the desert with lots of explanations, stops for cosmetics. Site of Massada, grandiose. Cable car included in the trip. Lunch in a restaurant only tourists, for once... Dead sea with a beautiful complex to change, bathe, shower. A wonderful day, expensive but great. Thanks to our guide Lea for all the explanations

Going to Masada was thrilling and should not be missed. Dead Sea required a longer period of time. Eric, our guide, was excellent. Tour done in English and Spanish but that was fine. Only bad issue was the frequent and timely stops pushing Ahava cosmetics. We virtually had 15 minutes to be in the Dead Sea. I have read other reviews complaining about the cosmetic stops but it appears no one is listening.

I bought the 11 day Israel Jewish Heritage tour from IBMT Tour group but was told that all the tours go through Rent a Guide in Israel. The tour absolutely exceeded my expectations and that is because of our guide Yair Zisman. Yair taught us about everything in Israel from the vegetation to the animals to the politics to religion to spirituality to history, etc. etc. I can NOT say enough good things about him. He was kind, patient, super smart and extremely knowledgeable about every site and was able to answer every single question we had. If you are taking a tour in Israel and do not get to go with Yair, you would definitely be missing out.
